Wanted: Experimental vocalist(s) that can sing scat as well as create a variety of unusual mouth sounds. Improvisational skills are a must. The weirder, the better. Must be able to submit quality recordings with little to no background noise or hiss. No previous experience is necessary.
Details: The vocal performances will be edited and synced over original music. At this point, only credit will be given to collaborators. Other reimbursements may become available depending upon the scope of the release.
Styles: The music will be influenced by the works of Frank Zappa, Dave Brubeck, Mike Patton, John Zorn, Captain Beefheart, and Tom Waits, just to name a few. Although the music itself is all original and does not mimic the work of any of these composers/musicians, certain aspects of their avant-garde style can be heard throughout each track. If you are familiar with their music, then you should be able to get an idea of the type of music that your performances will be used over.
