Bob's statement...was dead-nuts on target... Islamist are fundamentally immersed in hatred against Americans. If you are Muslum and you don't hate me Vinny, its because of you as an individual...not because of Islamic principle or ideology. (In fact, you would be in violation of that religion for thinking outside of its box.) 'Islamist' behaviors against Americans, as well as against themselves just exemplifies what everybody suspects...ISLAM ideology does not profess real love... at best, it offers a transient, superficial love, which is easily tarnished...and abandoned when face is lost. Islam began in 600 Ad, and its stayed there ever since.

I can not answer for vinny, nor do I want to, but I can name 1 good thing Islam has done, and that is sell us oil out of Saudi and Iraqi ground..

2nd good thing, the Islam religion was one of the only cultures as to not let scientific advancement generally conceived by the ancient Greeks get lost through the ages, they kept good records and passed along mathematics in the form of algebra and Euclidean geometry to the West in general, with this science used to make life more comfortable to people in the Western culture in general.

3rd good thing, the Moorish (Islam) influence in Spain in the middle Ages.. left many inventions that generally could be considered improvements on basic "dark ages" mentality mode of living then practiced by Western culture..

4th good thing, they invented beer.

I can not answer for vinny, nor do I want to, but I can name 1 good thing Islam has done, and that is sell us oil out of Saudi and Iraqi ground..

Not Bad...But Oil is not an ISLAM favor... It's a MIDDLE EAST/WEST Business arrangement. What it did 'for' USA, WORLD, MIDDLE EAST... was to boost some economy... But that want a 'favor'...It was 'bought and paid for'.

That's arguable. Prehistory of algebra goes back to Babalonians and egyptians (long before ISLAM appeared) Nevertheless, Most of the science you speak of with respect to Islam, translated to war/technologies. In fact a key criticism agianst islam is that of morality.

As you prolly know, today's Bushmaster has its roots in the stirrup and saddle. For the record, it was the Greeks who defined 'science' per se. (And subsequent models (via Aristotle, for example) and philosophies). ISLAM borrowed (not saved) hard sciences- primarily Mathematics to obtain leverage over the infidels and opposing Arab Communities. More specifically, (with much respect to war technology), accounting was developed/improves to preserve a system of logistics-tracking (Hence, Algebra) . I will Grant that algebra improved lives worldwide as it was adopted... But that doesnt come from ISLAM.
