Why can't people just get together and play music for the love of music. Makes me a sad panda seeing how many assholes there are out there

See? I'm not the only one who feels this way. I myself no matter where I post keep reaching people who are either assholes, or people who aren't very talented musically, even when they claimed they are into the artists or type of music I enjoy.

I knew the music world was fickle, but I didn't know that it would take this much effort to find a guy around my age who plays for enjoyment, but thinks like a professional. Someone between beginner and highly experienced. Someone who is just looking for a buddy to just hang out with who just happens to play some of the same artists and music styles we both enjoy.

Now, everybody wants to make money, or requests "serious inquiries" only.
