I didn't know you cared so much.

gee, i thought he made it pretty clear he couldn't care less.

when you think you have something worthy you'll put it up. or not. (pls don't confuse that to mean that I care one or the other.)

since lately you've been less critical of other's music, their skills, and their tastes... i'm cutting ya some slack, since i'm enjoying the glow from a great gig last night and the weather is stinking gorgeous.

but when and if ya do....you know the first rule about BANDMIX (and no, i don't mean.. you don't talk about BANDMIX)

it's the ol' put or shut music rule. if we want any cred to back up the big talk....whether our stuff is any good or not...we better be sure to have some music up to back up the big talk.

now...i'll be putting up shortly, and posting some video of last night's gig.

you've been warned.....LOG OFF NOW BEFORE IT'S TOOOOO LAAAAAAAAAAATE!!!!!!

and now, back to our regul..........

why don't you just shut up you silly homo.

I'm pretty sure we're all homos. Homo Sapiens is the name of our species. Of course, some of us act more like Neanderthals but that's another thread...

Yod, please respond to my previous post if you can.

I know too many ex-gays to ever agree to that.

My parents were divorced twice by the time I was 6. Though I hardly knew my dad as a kid, I grew up to be just like him. Though he never revealed his true personality to me, I was born with genetic disposition of a drunk womanizer just like he had been. I knew my behavior was wrong and always wondered why I was that way. I was risking my wife and family to do things that I seemed helpless to avoid. Eventually it cost me dearly....

When my eyes were opened by the God of Israel, I was able to overcome that sin and several years later discovered that I had been exactly as my father was at that age. Completely unknowingly I had also followed the path of so many of my relatives into being a musician without realizing it, too.

We are ALL born with a genetic disposition towards some kind of behavior and/or sin. I was never tempted to be homosexual, but it's not much different than a womanizer with an insatiable sex drive except for the object of one's attention. Here is hope....it can be overcome through the grace of God when you are ready to be free from slavery to sin.

Because I do have SO many gay friends, I understand how people will hear what I'm not saying, so allow me to clarify that I do not have any hatred of gays, and it pisses me off to hear any preacher teaching his flock to fear or hate them. I'd rather share a room with a gay man than Westboro Baptist any day.

All people have immense value. Wives hold a special place in the continuation of the human species. Marriage is given to honor that commitment and it should be honorable.

Homosexual relationships can not produce families. I concede that they can imitate them, but that's not the natural order. It's a mockery of the genuine article.

I expect pagans to be pagans and do pagan things. How could they not be who they are? However, that doesn't mean that something as special as a family unit should be mocked. Gay marriage is an attack on the very building block of society. Currently there is an attack on free speech to disallow that perspective. Yet no other behavior (sexual or otherwise) is given civil rights status, and therefore common sense should be obvious and respected.

Why do homosexuals need to mock the institution of marriage if it isn't for economic reasons? No one is stopping them from committing their lives to each other, if it really is love they are sharing. If they want make a public profession of that commitment, there is nothing marriage holds that a civil unions doesn't also hold...except a sacred spiritual connection. One doesn't need a marriage license to have a spiritual relationship with another person, that only leaves mockery as the reason.

And I do not wish to stereotype homosexuals, because I know how offensive it is when Christians get stereotyped by them. However....it is a statical fact that the overwhelming majority of homosexual men will have at least 50 partners, (some will have hundreds, even thousands) because they are controlled by their behavior. It's no worse of a sin than the adulterer...but it is a sin.

Emotions run so hot on this issue because of cognizant dissonance, but I hope we can continue to discuss this respectfully.

I'll go see if I can figure what other post you are referring to, Jimmy, and answer that separately.

just don't hang around the city park's latrine and your genetic disposition should be held in check.. if that's what you truly believe..

Kramerguy wrote:I still don't understand why anyone would care. It's just sex. We all do it.

There are many laws governing the behavior of sex because it certainly can be destructive to a society to allow an "anything goes" attitude.

What if I was born with a genetic disposition of a rapist? Why should society have any problem with it since animals rape each other all the time?

How about multiple wives? If I have AIDS, but hate wearing condoms, why is it not my "right" to have sex with as many people as possible before it kills me?

Yes, I realize that I'm using extreme examples to make a point, but that point is that there are laws governing sexual behavior for the very purpose of protecting society.

Do you know upwards of 90% of serial murderers in modern American history was either homosexual or bisexual? Why is that bit of trivia never mentioned in the public record? Well, understandably it could cause a backlash by association, but no other behavior seems to have such protected status.

Jimmy....I can't figure out what question it was you'd like me to address. Would you mind repeating it?

Ted, in no way do I believe you are anything but a straight heterosexual, but some of the things you believe are just crazy!.. JCP has more of a grip on the problems with gay men.. I believe his theory about it's a brain problem having to do with not being able to mature into an adult mind or something along those lines.. Peter Pan principle or something.. thin and no musculature generally..

The reasons they want marriage legal:

Being able to visit their loved on in the hospital when it is 'relatives only'.
Coverage on their partner's health insurance.
Joint tax returns.
Able to make decisions for their 'next of kin'.

There are plenty more. Forget the religious/church reasons against it - it's all about the legal reasons.

yod - if you think some gay people you know were somehow 'cured', then either you or they are only fooling the world (and possibly themselves).
