My classic rock cover band has chosen a name! Finally, after playing together for six months, we have settled on "Dover Soul". Maybe we better learn a James Brown tune or at least a Temptations song ("Papa Was A Rolling Stone"?).

Thanks George. Working on a logo right now. The name comes from a fb group called That's A Great Name For A Band, I posted it a while ago. I think I came up with better names but this is the one we all agreed on.

It's catchy and rolls off the tongue well . . .
Post the Logo when it's done. :D

Should go with "Dover Sole", no?

But either of them sound good to me..

Dover soul is guaranteed to bring out the homeboys. Deep soul music history in Motown so you better be able to respect the name and back it up with some funky grooves.

Rick James anyone? 8)

Mike T - Yeah he's a little green around the gills! Have to ask Fisherman Bob what that means.

Scott - Dover Sole is the actual name of the fish! Dover Soul reflects that we play predominately British rock (the white cliffs of Dover).

I actually liked Drag Strip Tease or Pink Freud but got voted down. But I can work with this.

Oh Sorry Jimmy, didn't know that about the name of the fish.

"Drag Strip Trick", that has some good tension in it.
