Some people get irritated just because you do or did slightly better than whoever on their last attempt.
Never get mad because there will always be those that do better than you and those that do worse. Just accept what you do and always try to be better than the last time. Your future is your own, work at what you do, hone your craft and keep moving forward regardless.

I just wrote him wanting to reconcile with terms but I am not going to lie about what happened the last time. He thought he was doing the right thing and I threw him under the bus. I threw his ass under the bus because he maimed that tune and if you work with me and you maim something I like, yeah I'll throw your ass under the bus. You'll be lucky if i don't throw you off the bridge.
If it sucks because it was badly mixed and/or mastered and your responsibility is to mix and/or master, you are DONE and you can feck off, hoser !!!!! (doing my Pauly Shore Impression)
But that's ok, the next person that accidentally or intentionally neuters a piece of work that I worked hard on and that I honestly believe has some merit, is going to the bottom of the bay with new concrete shoes that may or may not fit well but surely will be the convex of "floaties".
The only thing worse than writing something awful is writing something reasonable yourself or collaboratively and it gets hammered because one of you is on auto pilot, making decisions for all concerned.
Can you land that plane on auto pilot? I don't think you can.
Especially the big jets, it takes both the pilot and the co-pilot to land that fatty unless you want to be the poster child for "license to ill" a la The Beastie Boys.
No one person should be making the decisions for everyone involved, that's just "bitch-talk" from control freak central.
