In my younger days I had guitar on my lap from morning until midnight. These days it's a good day if I can get an hour in. I spend most of my time writing or working on parts.
Maybe 6-12 hours a week.
No particular pattern.
It might be a few minutes here and there or a marathon jam in one day.
Depends on where my attention is focused and if I can play without neighbor complaints.
I might do more with headphones.
But, it is not as good without the full setup.
Need the amps.

Pretty much daily when I am interested in arranging a song or just "gettin down wif my own bad self" playing random riffs that lead me all over the fingerboard.
As long as the guitar is sounding good to me I stay on it. When it starts getting boring, I stop.

Well, I see like alotta others in my gennyaition, it was 24/7 during the 70s/80s. I kinda coasted through the 90's and 2000s with about an HR a day. NOW , doing the solo thang, Im workin on Keys and Lead Gtr 3-4 hrs a day, which seems ALOT longer than it did 35 yrs ago. I figure I got 10-15 "good" yrs left so Im tryin to bust ass NOW...
Dont let 20yrs go by without keepin good practice habits going.. Do it even when ya dont want to.

i practice a lot....which isn't enough.
playing a few different instruments helps relieve boredom and tedium but it also exacerbates my ADD and i can never maintain the focus i strive for.
one thing i believe through and through is... "natural" and "inborn" talent aside....the musicians that make the best gains are the ones who know how to practice and have the discipline to do so.

I rarely ever practice. I learn new songs in the few minutes it takes to listen and possibly play back a part a couple of times to get the jest of it.
The band rehearses once a week for about 3 hours. I guess you could say I'm practicing then....
I do want to get back to 1-2 hours daily to WRITE though!

“The person who is really in revolt is the optimist, who generally lives and dies in a desperate and suicidal effort to persuade other people how good they are.”
Since I lost my secluded rehearsal studio I've gone from 2 hrs a night on weekdays and 4-6 on weekends to less than half that. In a seven day period I average an hour a day including working on songs which is easily half of it or more.
Made a ton of progress when I had that studio but I don't have it now. To crank the big amps I have to play in the basement which is pretty cold right and will soon get pretty hot. I use a prac amp on the weekends and head phones week days.
I've rarely played my bass lately which is bothering me. i feel guilty for some reason which is probably stupidity. Plus the P-bass I was fixing to buy was stolen from me by those deviants at IRS.
Not satisfactory but I've at least started rebuilding my usually disciplined approach.

At my age I do not practice anymore. I like to think of it as expanding a "redundant" tautology.
"If you can't stand behind our troops, stand in front of them." "The West was not won with a registered gun."
"No law ever prevented a crime."
"No law ever prevented a crime."
Since I have to catch up, I put in about 3 hours. a day... I doodle and noodle the first two hours and then practice seriously for the 3rd...
Sometimes my schedule wont let me touch the guitar for a week...
When My Guitar got hospitalized (Put in the case with sponges) I was sick as the guitar was...Like an addict without the fix... It was horrible.
