Absolutely no significance of itself, but it's an indication of a conservative takeover of the GOP

None of it matters until the revolution has happened.

The revolution will not be televised. In fact, it will not happen at all.

If they succeed in bankrupting the economy as they are attempting, then there will be no more conservative/liberal elections. They want everybody to start at "0" so that everything will be " the even playing field" that they constantly promote. Problem is that after the bloody chaos, no one will own property, own businesses, have any rights.

That is, no one except them.

They will still have nice homes, drive limos, and live the cushy self absorbed lives lives of little dictators. Think about it. How could it go any other way? Even the have nots will believe that their former lives were lived in luxury.

I sure Hope your right Jimmy. God forbid anything happen to our president.

Could you imagine the second in command, Joe Biden.

Don't worry about that NUKE that NORTH KOREA just dumped on San Diego...

I have authorized all our combat troops to walk outside their barracks and blow off 2 rounds. That should scare them off.

Am I poking fun at you Jimmy? Sorry.

Conservatism, TEA Party and GOP are dead .... the Stockholm Syndrome has worn off. 2008 and 2012, has shown that the Conservatives Power Base ( the low informed voter) didn't have the numbers. I bet lots of Neconic/ Evangelic zombies are praying for a terrorist attack to save their cause like 9-11 helped G.W/. Bush

Waiting, hoping for a disaster? No need to. You elected one.

He will cause the reaction that swings the entire country hard right before it's over. Even his liberal base will deny him.

He looks like a neo-con in Israel today. Hmmm. I'm starting to like him, this week...

And it looks like he's about to attack Syria and Iran. That ought to do it for his liberal base.

I'm NOT saying this as a racial commentary. European or Caucasians are now a defacto minority in this country. The Republican convention was lilly white. The Republicans have a huge problem. Perception IS reality. And the perception is that the Republicans have favored big business, which, for hundreds of years has been controlled by rich white Europeans. Don't go off on me telling me I'm a racist, I'm not. But the sad fact is that the perception of Republicans and conservatives is keeping minorities surpressed in America. I know this isn't true, BUT talk to somebody who used to be considered a minority and the vast majority will say the same thing. Until a leader or leaders come along in the Republican party who can attract more blacks, Hispanics, women, Orientals, etc. To the Conservative cause and until the Republican convention can look more like a rainbow coalition, they will have zero chance of winning the Presidency and we're likely to have a Democrat controlled Congress in the mid-term election.
I pray that a third political party is created with elements of disgruntled Dems AND Repubs who want to affect change in a PRACTICAL WAY. We need programs to help those who can't help themselves. We need a completely fair, streamlined tax code. We need to give back to each state more autonomy. We need to limit legalese. We need a health system that works for everybody with practical restraints on pharmaceutical and health insurance companies.
Talk of a revolution in my opinion is paranoid and unnecessary, YET. IMO there's still too much that is still good in this country. I'm hopeful that we can still make a wonderful recovery, with the emphasis on WE. We have to work together. At this point there's no other option.

I see it much different bob-

Presidential elections are just like buyers remorse. We vote in a dem, get 8 years of quackery, then vote for a republican - who at the time seems less of an idiot, then 8 years later, the republican is a complete idiot, so we elect a democrat.. Almost all candidates stay in for 8 years because we (as a society) absolutely fear change. GHB sr has been the only exception since 1980 only because he outright lied to everyone about taxes, and ate crow for it.

But anyways, yeah, we fear change so much that we refuse to vote for a 3rd party that actually would represent sanity in government, and stick with the same flip-flop of D to R and R to D every other election because collectively, we are complete idiots.

And oh yeah, rand paul is as scary to me as sarah palin for prez.. he's a raging libertarian at heart who would enslave the poor if given the chance. Just my opinion , of course.

"Enslave the poor?" Hmmmm....

You mean pull their asses off welfare and put them to work? What a terrible idea. 8) (I'm not referring to working poor of which I was one for many years)

Mr. Kramer - you obviously know very little about libertarians, of which I am one. Our primary rule, perhaps the only one that we all agree on, is the non aggression principle. We will not harm anyone, unless they attack us.

How the hell do you get 'enslaving the poor' out of that?

Although if truth were told, people living on the FedGov plantation are slaves in all be name...

Just call me a "leftist Guerrilla".. lol

And the "FedGov Plantation" sounds like it's uncomfortably, hot workhouse on Rigel 7.

(I am innocent, please do not send me to that place to work for the rest of my life and die. You know I will be trying to steal a starship to get off of that rock.) (No, Klingon you are not welcome to join us, nooooooo.) lol

Scotty

Are you saying this isn't Rigel 7?

Talbot sets down his martini and lights a camel cigarette , "I was misinformed."
