I wish John! I bought him a Schecter guitar and Laney amp but he's not interested. The guitar is pretty cool, locking nut, DiMarzio pups, nice neck.

drum set?

good synth?

bass guitar?

Please don't tell me he isn't into any kind of music. That'd be a shame considering his father is so into it. (and that's not sarcasm)

Both of my kids love music and were trained in music when young. My daughter studied piano, and my son played trombone in the marching band. I bought my daughter a Fender P bass and Ampeg amp after she said she no longer wanted to play keys, and my son the rig I mentioned. Neither one wanted to play in bands, too busy I guess, or maybe they don't want to be like the old man!

"Just don't push it or them".

I started out as a piano student until I was beaten for not doing it right.
(First and last piano lesson right there.)
Then I got shoved into the trumpet, which I hated.

Then we had a minor peasant uprising and I was free for a while. lol

Then, when I was 18, I realized I wanted to play guitar.
The rest was a thinly veiled game of catch up, hell I am still playing it.

I was pushed into clarinet in 5th grade  Took until age 15 before I could afford my first $40 guitar!

My step son has a natural talent on bass guitar. When he walked away from it, settled down and got married I fell on my knees and praised God!

i never thought he could hack what I've been through - or at least, I didn't want him to.
