Well other than flubbing the lead. I usually do it better than that. Thanks for listening!

I guess you're right George. He just stopped by with his video camera, I'd like to prepare a little better next time but it is what it is. Every rehearsal we get tighter.

If I might . . . the rhythm sounds righteous tone wise, but seem lacking a little in the staccato feel of one of my favorite MOUNTAIN versions.
May be mistaken but I believe some palm muting at some of the changes ?
It's minor / personal thing. But since we're on the subject.

Not sure if I understand, the changes should have more palm muting or have too much? Also can you elaborate on 'staccato' feel? Do you mean the notes should be shortened?
Um . . . boy . . . to put that into type . . .
Let's say this when the sustain does not carry fully from chord to chord . . .
Da da da da da (stop ) da da da da vs da da da da da (bleed) da da da da
Gosh I feel silly . . .
Not really "shortened" per say as a little more distinction between phrases.

Oh I get it now George! Basically I'm allowing noise (feedback) to "fill" the spaces, since the original had keys and multiple guitar tracks. It gives the illusion of fullness. With a keys player or another guitarist I could back off on some off these tricks.
Hey Johnny I bet you could nail the lead, I'll just play rhythm!

Oh and Johnny, that's my 1979 Les Paul Special. It's a reissue of a 1959. I put a locking nut, Washburn Wonderbar and very hot EMG's in it. It's my metal workhorse!
