We still kill each other and we don't work together as one world trying to make it livable for all of us on this shitty little rock. (We're just self-absorbed and uncaring in general.)

I'm pretty sure I would conclude the race as hopeless and exterminate them, to get the planet's resources (what's left of them). We would do the same to any sub-species that's in our way.. like american indians for instance!

(I'm not calling them sub-species btw, just sarcastically using the mentality of the white man at the time)

I believe we've already destroyed ourselves. It's called antibiotics and genetics. Some little microbe will become resistant to everything and wipe us out before we even have a chance to wipe ourselves out with nuclear weapons or whatever miserable weapons we create.

Do you watch the tv show 'The Walking Dead'? That's what I think happened in that 'world' - a microbe was created that turns anyone who dies into a zombie.

I think they established that in the first season, when they went to the CDC.

They never said it specifically - instead the 'secret' was that everyone was infected already and would turn after dying - you didn't need to be bitten.

That sounds like a fairly accurate representation.

If I was an alien, that's what I'd do. (You can keep a couple of humans as pets, but they're so dirty and such. Don't let them bite you or you could become infected.
After we finish getting all the raw materials, we can go home and leave this nasty little dump of a planet. Do you think we should blow it up after we're done mining it? We probably should considering how they all act even toward each other"

Too late for me - I encountered the clowns years ago.
