This is crap and I have no idea why you cling to it. Where does the hate come from? This marketing slogan to attract soul-less secularists is warped. Only a hateful fool would fall for it.

I'm not a big fan of Pat Robertson, but to say he gives nothing is just stupid and dishonest. Through various agencies created by CBN, Pat (and Christians) are giving every single day all over the world.

Unlike the atheist businessmen you seem to adore, they don't do it primarily to reduce the amount of taxes they will have to pay. They do it because it's right.

THIS IS BUT ONE OF THE CHARITABLE AGENCIES OF CBN (Pat Robertson)

About Operation Blessing:

Beginnings.
OBI was founded on November 14, 1978, by businessman and philanthropist, M.G. Robertson. The nonprofit was originally set up to help struggling individuals and families by matching their needs for items (such as clothing, appliances and vehicles) with donated items from viewers of The 700 Club, Robertson's daily television program. By linking arms with local churches and other organizations, OBI expanded their matching funds program to also include food provisions and financial assistance for low-income families. In 1990, Operation Blessing began moving from individual assistance to helping fund outreach centers across the U.S. who provide a broad, community impact through their partnerships with local ministries, food pantries, shelters and more.

Growth.
Internationally, OBI continued to expand its medical, hunger and disaster relief efforts and, in 1986, Operation Blessing International Relief and Development Corporation was officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. By its 10th anniversary, OBI had spent $40 million of its own funds worldwide, and through key partnerships with other organizations, had leveraged that amount to provide approximately $196 million in aid. From 1996-2000, OBI commissioned The Flying Hospital, a specially equipped L1011 jet aircraft that provided facilities for world-class medical/surgical services to thousands of people in developing countries and disaster-stricken areas. Today, OBI is ranked one of the top 100 largest charities in America by The NonProfit Times and has repeatedly filled the role of “logistical arm” to organizations including the International Red Cross, FEMA, UNICEF, The Salvation Army and the United Nations’ World Food Programme.

I've been there several times now.

Except for Oskar Shindler, the labor camps supporting the killing camps were run by the industrialist businessmen who were godless national-socialists. Anyone standing for the love of Christ was murdered just like the Jews. 80% of Polish clergy were in the camps with the Jews and murdered.....by people just like Mike

It has also given us the ability to annihilate every person on the planet in a matter of minutes. Science has created new and horrible ways to die...and they devalue human life and dignity with abortion, euthanasia, military weapons, etc. Scientists seeking to play God are in process of creating new kinds of terror with DNA experiments hidden from the public. It won't be long before they have fused a human with a fly.

Apart from morality, which ultimately comes from God, science is the biggest threat to life on planet earth

Wikipedia wrote:"After making emotional pleas in 1994 on The 700 Club for cash donations to Operation Blessing to support airlifts of refugees from Rwanda to Zaire, it was later discovered, by a reporter from The Virginian-Pilot, that Operation Blessing's planes were transporting diamond-mining equipment for the Robertson-owned African Development Corporation, a venture Robertson had established in cooperation with Zaire's dictator, Mobutu Sese Seko, whom Robertson had befriended earlier in 1993. According to Operation Blessing documents, Robertson personally owned the planes used for Operation Blessing airlifts."

since when is Christianity about giving money away? Any and all religions or none at all can do that.

Christianity is about salvation of your soul. Giving is a fruit of that salvation but certainly not the foundation of it.

And Hitler was most certainly not a Christian. Your quote was meaningless - like all politicians he was a liar - look at his deeds not his words.

Hitler wavered between a half assed paganism and secular humanism. He worshipped man, not God. And when his marbles started coming out of us ears, he worshipped himself.

As to giving - well, this stupid Christian found out recently that having given away a rather huge sum over several years to support someone else's kids, that someone had another source of income and didn't need my money. She somehow forgot to mention it.

it was like a kick in the balls - so long retirement eh? But what you can do?

We've gone from "Hitler was an atheist" to "Hitler was a liar" in just a few posts.
His quote is only meaningless when it doesn't serve you?
Your denial is meaningless.
"Christianity is about THIS."
"Christianity is about THAT."
ALL religions are trying to save your soul.
And they all do a pretty half-assed job of it, too.
An asshole with or without a bible & cross in his hand is STILL an asshole.

Yes, giving is just one of the fruits of a person's character.
It is unfortunate that someone took advantage of yours.

But, when someone tells me that the only good in a person can come from GOD, I have to laugh.

It makes me sad because when they say that, I realize I'm wasting my time talking to a weak-minded idiot instead of doing something infinitely more constructive like rearranging the pencils on my desk.
