But I can't make good use of them, due to the fact that most of the people on here who paid for the premier membership are going to be serious musicians with a career, as opposed to me who doesn't feel that it's necessary to pay for the premier membership, and given that most of the people I'm looking for are also not going to be such individuals.

So, can someone please help me discover a wider variety of places that are similar to this place, but where ALL of the tools I need are free, including posting on the forum, and contacting someone?

If not, don't worry about it.

Try calling public radio and tell them what difficulties you've had trying to find your dream friend keyboardist who lives 5-10 minutes away and wants to have lunch and go to the movies with ya and see if they can help in some way.
How... I don't know... Maybe they have a show for local musician...
Make a call and ask some questions.
Tell them BM sent ya! :P
Maybe they have a doctor on staff who would be interested in talking to you. I don't know... but I hope so.

Why am I constantly reaching trolls? People that post stuff just to drive another person crazy? Where are the guys who have enough sense to just answer the question I posed, and who don't make rude remarks like the ones who respond to my posts?

Look in the mirror (oh ... sorry ...) Who's the troll? The person who contantly repeats the same old crap time after time, whining, complaining, saying he's going away and coming right back to post again ...

I was serious: seek help.

Enough with the "mental issues" bullcrap. I am a very stable guy. I'm sorry for those who feel the need to make themselves feel superior by calling someone else names. I get that crap WAY too much from people on Baton Rouge Rocks.

I have a feeling that it's actually the other way around because a lot of the suggestions you guys give are not practical, and you guys are WAY too easily angered over stupid stuff, and respond way too quickly to post.

If anyone really wants to help me, that person needs to have a relaxed attitude, and not listen to what everybody else is saying about me.

And let me see some good suggestions from people who I haven't heard from yet.

Um...first off, I asked for a website suggestion, not a radio station. Also the radio station you gave is completely inappropriate. I would need to contact a 96.1 The River, which plays more of the artists I'm into. And of course, I would prefer to contact the appropriate person to ask through e-mail, not by phone.

Also stop with the whole snarky responses, where you say things like "you need professional help" or "see if they have a doctor". That's just uncalled for, and ALL because I was trying to get someone to see the fallacy in their suggestion.

you might not be mental,
but maybe you can't take no for an answer

I CAN take "no" for an answer if the "no" comes from the person as an individual, rather than as one person speaking for the whole community, thus allowing me to let the other guy move on with whatever he was doing before helping me, and move on to the next person who wants to help.

Also it gets upsetting when a site that's highly reccommended to me by a wide variety of people ends up not delivering on what the person promised, and makes me wonder if there was something in which that person overlooked, or if I myself did something wrong.

did any one name a "site" for you to visit?

No. But that doesn't mean that one doesn't exist. You've got to remember to look outside of Google. The site I'm looking for might be one that's a user created site that's spread through word of mouth.

If anybody doesn't have anymore good ideas, I am truly sorry to have bothered you.

I'll still keep my profile up, but I'll avoid asking any further questions about my music buddy search here, and look elsewhere.

For those who have premier accounts, if anyone finds something that you think might help me in my search for this special music buddy, send me a message.

I don't know how to go about doing that. And this conversation isn't ridiculous at all. I was just trying to get you to think outside the box. The place I'm looking for may not be in the index of a major search engine. For example, it might be a user created forum put together by a student at a local college, and it may not be labelled explicitly as a music board. It might be under someone else's name, like "John's board" or it might be a video gaming board with a small music discussion section.

In short, you can find a good amount of stuff through Google (and Yahoo) but not everything. Also the downside to looking up something on Google is that before trying whatever Google suggests especially what I'm looking for in order to continue my search, it helps to talk with other people because I want to make sure I'm trying something of good quality. And it also helps to talk to people to learn what's good and what's bad.

Anyway, let's put an end to this. I'm done posting questions on here about how to continue my search. Thanks for the help that was provided.
