Maybe its time you look in the mirror and realize that you arent going to find anyone to meet your criteria.

Im not slamming you, just pointing out a fact, you come on here and ask advice which as is said you invalidate, you cant do this, you cant do that. or we dont understand your situation.

Most of us on here have figured out how to get to where we want to go musically, is it easy, NO! is there some group just waiting on us to make contact? In my case no, Ive had to get out there, find musicians, find gigs, had to do the leg work to make things happen, you seem to have this misconception that someone will want to do everything the way you want it to be, life is all about compromises, the other person has to get something out of it, not just you.

I do wish you luck, continue working on whatever music it is you want to play, so if by chance the right situation comes along you will be ready.

I don't have any misconceptions about how life works. I know I have to get out there somehow. But I don't have enough GOOD places to work with.

First off, unlike most musicians, I'm simply looking for a friend who plays keyboard and happens to enjoy playing some pop and soft rock covers, and is still learning, and not yet out there performing.

Second, this guy cannot be found by going to a bar or club, or church, because well, he might be what I consider to be your regular guy. The type who just plays some music in his bedroom during his free time, while juggling a few classes at college, or a part-time job.

Another thing that's really aggravating in this search is that no matter where I go, I'm always reaching musicians who are WAY too serious, and are interested in being popular, or getting their music heard, or pursuing a career, (those individuals will only be made into general friends, and used for netwoking.) rather than coming across someone who is more reserved, and maybe has some general friends to hang out with, but doesn't have any friends who like playing pop and soft rock music.
