That stinks. So many people are too damn lazy to do the right thing and take a moment out of their busy schedule to get back to someone who's taken time to respond to their ad. There's no excuse for that. I don't care HOW busy you are....even a simple "thanks, no thanks" is the least that's called for.

As for people getting back with nasty responses.....wow, who knows. I'd say count your blessings that you didn't have to waste any more time actually getting together with anyone like that.

It disheartens me when musicians don't treat other musicians well and we don't accord each other the respect that oughta be a given. I'd hope there would be a better sense of "community" and brotherhood....but well, it ain't always so.

Anyway...that's my rant for the day. Welcome to BM. Keep fighting the good fight and good luck finding some worthy players.

I agree. People should respond to inquiries. There are those of us here,(including myself), whom are not premium subscribers and the only way to connect is to post information to all, including those you do not want to connect. I would love to have a drummer come here that would not have to bring their own drums. I have a nice kit. A pipe dream. I was a premium sub for lots of time. Adding to what you were saying, this is proof that this site is all about politics. Not the hard driven musician. If that were so, I could travel and MIX with other musicians that were in it for the sound. The Mix. The explosion of expression. Sorry, It's not here what you're looking for.

I hate to be the one to break it to you but the vast majority of those who post profiles here are NOT musicians by any traditional sense of the word, and of those who are musicians, only a small fraction would be compatible or interested in what you're doing. If you're not willing to spend the $10 a month to look for them you're not that serious.

social media is just an extension of your jr high school experience, so much the more with music sites.

Not to mention updating their profiles, especially with respect to their yes / no status on "Currently seeking musician(s) or band".
