But you wanna ride the dogs because you can call the start of the race and not actually have to get any snow on you.

Life is in the living not in the color commentary, but I don't know anything..just another dog running from the whip.

(hmmmm... out comes the notebook)

Such good materials this evening...maybe I'll show up unannounced tomorrow and slam out a fast one like a candy bar I left on the dash of my truck, hot, melted and unrecognizable.

I accept your correction on that and concede your point. Some of the most faithful friends and giving people I know have no declared religion at all.

It's wrong of me to sling a stereo-type about something as personal as one's spiritual condition.

apology accepted. takes a big man to apologize and own up to his mistakes. points, ted. points.

 thanks for letting me off the hook.

In another thread I mentioned just starting work on a new album. Every person playing on it is from a liberal jewish background. The producer is reform jewish, the engineer is zen buddist, the bassist and drummer are "unaffiliated". Yet all of them have a spiritual insight worth respecting. The producer has been writing deeply spiritual music much longer than I, and the engineer is a big-time producer who regularly travels to Asia to help people who can't pay him back. He gave up a life of rich creature comforts to do that, including losing a wife who was not willing to give up the mansion in Hollywood Hills.

They have all gone far beyond the call of duty and done an excellent job, and I so appreciate that they would work with me. The producer was a bit worried my fans would think me apostate for working with "all them California jew people" but anyone who doesn't like it can take a long walk off a short pier. I'm proud to call them friends....and my previous statement would have hurt my friends so thank you for allowing me to retract it.

That is why it is atheism.

Karl Marx wrote the book that the atheist State uses as it's bible.

Any official State Religion is dangerous, but an atheist state religion denies that man has any rights from his Creator at all.

Sounds like they are Typical Californians... (Jewish and otherwise), doing their 'own thang"... I have always contended that a flaw with 'individualism" is that everybody is practicing it

You keep missing the point that history is a moment in time. Things were different in revolutionary America. Men were better. None of the founders were trying to protech us from religion - they were protecting us from the horror of a single denomination becoming the State Church.

Big difference. In that time frame new states couldn't even be admitted to the union unless they could prove they had some education system in place so that young 'uns could learn to read the Bible.

Now days we pretend that was to protect all manner of circus acts and the president talks sh*t about how much muslims have contributed to our history. Which other then selling slaves to yankees to send down south, was sweet phuk all.

The religious freedom our founders spoke of has very little to do with the blathering we hear in today's dialogs on the subject.

The UK is a perfect example of why we didn't and still don't, want a state church. Any thing that is touched by the power mad imbeciles of the State is inevitably corrupted.
