I'm reading through some of the posted stuff and the first thing I see is negativity. Yeah I've been guilty of it too. Shoot me.

What was will be the past. What will be, is the future.

Personally I feel many of you are turning over your personal freedom, believing in control of societal function, controlled by another man.

Sorry if that completely goes against my personal religious beliefs.

It doesn't matter. In the end this life will end. In the meantime, try to do no other man harm... Have as much fun as possible.

Ignorant comment... Yes.

Still I am deeply disappointed in my fellow man when they step forward to do harm.

That does NOT mean that, that we can not all share the hope of individual happiness, that our founding fathers attempted... to set up ... One nation under God.

Things can always get worse. They can also get better.

Go in peace and have a good day.

Jeff, Yer using a mallet here (Not Mullet) to kill a gnat. ;) As for education... there are lots of folks, who spent money to go to a college. That doesn't mean they got educated.

Glenn, I suggest you move away from America. No point in complaining, day after day, after day about something, and you clearly do not like it there in any case.

Cheers - Chippy

are there regional differences within the United States that can cause GLENNY's cup being half empty instead of half full?.. my brother knew Texas was more economiclly sound then most other states back in the 1970's and that is why he CHOSE to move there from Iowa.. if you need a job to make a living I can think of no other state where opportunity abounds if you need work.. people forget how much oil money is there, how much cattle money is there, lest you forget high technology in Austin and NASA in Houston.. if you are not looking through rose colored glasses then do yourself a favor, and move to Texas.. it's really not a bad place, and my brother today still speaks of the people there how friendly they were, and they are not the types like I've seen up north who will drive by an old lady broken down along the highway without stopping and offering assistance.. they have not "progressed" so much as to become "luke warm" which the Bible warns us about in the end days.. the ability for people to lose their "natural affection" for each other.. Texans are as natural as you can get..

ya know...nuthin' against texans, i'm sure some of 'em are the salt of the earth. and likewise i'm sure some aren't worthy of being pissed upon if they were on fire.

sorry, i've never bought into the goofy notion that geography has anything to do w the quality of people. there are good and bad wherever ya go.

the notion that a certain area produces good people, or that good people migrate to a certain place, whereas folks in another area aren't as good? c'mon, really?

as bill monroe used to say... "that's a whole lot of nuthin' right there."

Traffic IS getting a lot worse here since folks started moving here. I use to leave the house at 6am and barely a slowdown on the freeway I would make it to work in 25 minutes. Now that same EXACT commute takes 45 minutes if I'm lucky!

Mark... Thank you for the post. I am sorry if you see it as complaining day after day. I am not complaining for myself... It is the direction of America that is hurting all the people that felt secure with their contract with America. If I need to make money, no problem... If I need to be vocal about what I see, no problem. If I need to help some one, no problem.
If I need to protect all the people that are being abused, because it "IS THE LAW"
Big problem. That doesn't mean it can't be solved.... I haven't reached a point where I am willing to commit my resources to an effort to work within the system to change what I see as evil.

Please don't interpret my comments as complaints only. I love America.
Yes... America is the worlds greatest hope. If man kind is to survive... The brilliance of all free men must remain unencumbered and allowed to prosper in ways that average citizens are being taught... Isn't important.

America is still the capital of that thought. GO BLESS AMERICA!
