All things considered equal, my refund this year is about half of what it was last year :(

The EIC no longer applied to me, apparently the bar moved or something
the child tax credit is now $1000, period. No additional disability tax breaks applied. Last year I think the CTC along with disability credits made it somewhere around $3800.

I think that fiscal cliff deal had more suckage in it than any journalists let on about  or maybe it was just changes by the IRS? I dunno.

So how did you make out?

All you liberals don't know how bad YOU screwed up by voting Obama into office for another term. I am saying by April 15th of this year it will be PAINFULLY evident how big a mistake YOU have made!

that's funny, I didn't vote for obama. I thought the other 115 times I've stated that would have sunk in by now, but I find I have to keep reminding ppl...

What did he spend $16tril on? I know they gave $13.8 in bailouts for the rich, then haphazardly used about $1.1T towards infrastructure (would have been nicer if that was the other way around!), but let's not kid ourselves- the entire bailout was approved under the bush administration.

My issue isn't even the $16T.. it's that the rich still aren't paying their share.. something I know you guys LOVE to defend, but this is just another form of austerity to me- and austerity isn't going to solve anything. Spending is out of control, and we all know it. Cutting the necessary stuff so all the rich can keep their pet projects (govt funded investments) isn't ever a solution, but the general public has been forced into it, wanted or not. Oh well. At least I got something back.. only cause I live in fear of ever owing and have them take out more than they should...

The bailouts were ALL political payoffs to people who helped get Obama into office. It wouldn't surprise me to find that Bush owns a piece of Obama, but my guess is that they both are puppets for the same master.

The biggest share of stimulus $$$ going to Obama's biggest contributor, General Electric (NBC, MSNBC, AOL, etc) who pays ZERO in taxes.

When will people finally start noticing that for all the talk, the Obama Administration represents "rich people" even more than Bush did, and they are gaming the system to get those billions without putting a penny back into it???

But the DNC arouses your envy and you think they're on your side. Typical Alinsky tactic. If you want to know the future and understand what is going on around you, read "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky.

Kramer as a result of getting 50% of last years refund how much do you intend on spending on musical gear this year? My point is A VERY large % of americans are not going to be spending those refund checks on the extra's they can't buy during the year. As a result retailers are going to lay off employee's and CLOSE down their biz. thus the shinkage of the tax base that pushes our economy over the edge. This is what US conservatives have been saying, EVERYONE is going to pay more in taxes there is NO other way out. It is Obama's economy now and he CAN'T blame Bush for it!

Why do neoconservatives insist that Obama is a communist?
Why?
It is plainly obvious that he is as much a corporate shill as Bush was.
He cannot be both.
He may speak in liberal platitudes.
But, his actions speak for themselves.

Reality has a liberal bias. I'm most definitely a person who believes in liberty, which is the basis on being liberal. The current MSM-driven definition of liberal no longer fits the actual definition, and is more often slung as an insult than not. So what is the point of the word anymore? Like everything else, it's been twisted into something it's not. I'm a strong believer in liberty and progress. Going backwards in evolution doesn't appeal to me.

J-HALEY wrote:Be HONEST if you had one choice between Obama and Romney how would YOU have voted? Jus sayin

Well then that's called fascism. Here's two corporate candidates who both stand for the exact same thing- however, one is a sparkly blue and the other is a sparkly red. Who cares if you want green? Screw that nonsense.. the ONLY power the people have in this country is voting. We have the right to replace a tyrannical government, by the power of voting. To hell with the idea that I can't vote for whomever I damn well please.

That's my answer.

I think the answer is already obvious. I have a current fiscal cliff I'm personally hanging onto by sheer will more than anything else. I will catch up on monthly bills, all of which I'm a month or more behind on.

Am I reading you correctly that it's my fault someone loses their job because I won't use it to carelessly buy a new guitar and amp? It's almost ironic in a way- I make about 2% more than I did two years ago, but by my best estimate my cost of living has risen about 31%, which I've managed to dumb down to about 21% by dropping 401k contributions, healthcare, cable tv, home phone, and dramatically reducing grocery spending, which means going from fairly healthy eating to eating ramen most days.

Two years ago, my ends met - barely, but they met. No longer- I'm still falling behind month after month, and it's increasing because food goes up this week, car insurance goes up next week, and rent will surely go up this spring when I hit renewal.

Sadly, the money I'm getting back won't even get me to balanced, but it will be close enough to buy more time.

"Why can't you see it?" is the real question.

He has ALWAYS promoted marxist solutions and promoted marxist ideologies. His most enduring heroes and influences are either marxist or muslim.

His largest source of manpower comes from unions promoting a socialist agenda. He has done everything in his power (and beyond his authority) to damage and even destroy free enterprise capitalism, and small business has suffered tremendously.

I mean...it would be easier to answer your question if you can explain what about Obama makes you think he isn't????

Kramer, my point is Obama has told everyone that the rich are Evil and played class warfare to turn americans against one another and now the truth is coming out. The folks that have bought into his class warfare are in for a surprise wouldn't you say?
