Yes.

But then we have questions...
Genetics memory?
Genetic affect on personality?

Even... *gasp*, something of a supernatural influence or planned design?

Babies are born with innate knowledge, and innate morality. That is clearly seen, despite what most evolutionists claim. Babies know the difference between good and evil (and altruism is not the extent of morality). However knowing the difference between good and evil does not make a baby good or evil. Acting on (or the ability of one to chose to do that which is "good") is what "makes" one moral or immoral.

The babies cited in the study preferred characters who were not obstacles to other characters. They displayed empathy - a sense of right and wrong. However, if you circled 3 babies babies around a single "gummy bear" (a reward),we would see the true nature of man come out in the form of desiring OTHERS to be self-sacrificial so they can entreat themselves to their immediate desires.

Any parent can attest to behavior.

some kids are bullies. I've seen as many bullies come from perfectly normal homes as well as broken ones, just as I've seen nice people come from both. I think everyone has a very complex and specific set of predispositions, and the higher the IQ of the individual, the more self-aware they will be about those dispositions and keep their lesser-desired traits in check, or overcome them completely.

Although that's a very rough measuring tool. I've found from personal experiences that people generally don't change.

Some are "born again" or find religion and change, although out of fear of the afterlife or something. Using the classic A-hole as the example, I've noticed that generally if you know someone who is an a-hole, they will generally always be an a-hole outside of 'divine intervention'. I've never know a person to have a 'life changing event' that made them stop being an a-hole, outside of previously mentioned religion changes (and I wonder how many of them struggle all day every day with that!).

I mentioned higher IQ simply because someone who is a "thinker" may one day achieve a higher level of self-awareness and actually achieve change. I can't really say I've witnessed that personally outside of TV and movies.. I think at times it's probably not possible for one to change their own predispositions in life.

Our genes determine how we are "wired" - I believe some people are born good and some are born bad. But that default behavior can be over-ridden by socialization (parents, schools, churches, etc). So a good person can become bad and vice versa depending on the environment. I also believe children do the best when they come from stable households with two parents.

it's like Trading Places all over again lol...

I know in that movie they concluded that environment beat out predispositions, but in reality I'm not sure I can agree. A bad egg is a bad egg.. would take a lot of stabilizers to make it not a bad egg, much less a good one

The science is indicating that babies are born "Good".

Science can also show that, literally, We are what we eat.

In order to have peace on earth, everyone must be "Good".

So, it's pretty clear that we must begin eating babies.

the logic is sound - but I'm not sure I'm willing to travel that road, though it appears they are in Korea? (but for different reasons)
