I think you would have to believe something actually exists before you could hate it. So just stop with your inane "he will make a great Christian" bull. Atheists don't hate God. They just don't believe He exists. Get it?

Why do Christians insist that a person who does not BELIEVE in GOD, must then be someone who HATES God?

That makes no sense.

I don't hate the Easter Bunny.
I don't hate Santa Clause.
I don't hate the tooth fairy.

So, why should I hate God?

Weak analogy. First of all, trying to lump Mike and I together is deceptive; I am an Agnostic, Mike is an Atheist. We both have feet and wear shoes, just as we both have intelligence that we use to discern the truth. A belief in God does not make you superior to those who do not share your belief, in fact, many would say just the opposite.

Zip, I do not hate Christians, I detest organized religion. That includes Christianity, Judaism and Islamism (and any other belief that is based on unprovable statements). Why you would pretend to know what I hate is baffling.

I am an Atheist, naturalist, whatever.
But, I try to learn what I can from everywhere, then move on.
Whether it is passages from the Bible, Q'uran, Upanishads, or the back of a Frosted Flakes box.
Zen Buddhism is good.

Why are we here? To the average person it looks as if life and our world was designed; we're the right distance from the sun, we have ample water, etc. But the simple answer is without all of those things being in place we would not have evolved and wouldn't be here to ask "why are we here?"
