top o the midday my fellow bandmixareeeeeenos...

ive taken down paint it black so ive put up "left wanting" from my last bands album "loud".....

i love this song..it shouldnt work but it does, its all about 3......3 parts.......3 styles....3 part harmonies...3 different vocal lines(first time i ever tried it)....you will hear both our rock and dance influences in this song.

the bass player sings lead and i fill in the backround...this is one of the most complex songs we ever tried....and it always brought down the house when we played it live...

so click on my profile and enjoy..."left wanting"

comments and reviews are most welcome.....

Erin Tony,
Wow! Five minutes on the money of excellent playing and singing! I suggest you try to get THAT bass player back! My only complaint is the lack of clarity of the vocals.(couldn't understand a word). Still liked the sound. I'm "Left Wanting" for more so Keep em commin!

Yeah, man, I like that song-a lot! I agree about the clarity of the vocals, but aside from that, it really grooves. I like the contrast between the in your face guitar riff and the harmony vocals. Good Job, Anthony!

I like it... I like it a lot! The groove got me going, and the structure kept me guessing. Nice!

Yeah...in tone, as well as technique, the bass work reminded me a bit of Colin Greenwood.

Sounds great

Reminds me of Vaseline by STP, I love nasty guitars with lazy vocal melodies on top. Great Job!!

I agree with everything posted here. Vox up a tad. Great guitar and bass. Man it really sounds like a couple of STP songs.

Strange song, man. It is very well done, reminds me of STP somewhat too. I think you really are STP and just not telling us, that's it, I have figured this out now, I.A., you can no longer hide from us, show yourself STP! I know you are behind that screen! Can you send Slash over to give me some guitar lessons now as well please... Lmao. Just kidding.

Well done song man, it is not particularly my taste of music, but it is done well. The only actual complaint I have is what HowlinJ did, I cannot understand a word, lol.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

cheers for all the kind comments guys

as i said im very proud of this tune...and there is a reason you cant make out the lyrics...the lyric is about me breaking up with an old girlfriend of five years...thats why i dont sing the lead...

you have to listen to it alot of times to make it out....just pick one of the three vocal lines and try to block out the others...its hard to do but if you do it with all three vocal lines it makes more sence...

also i was all over the place due to the break up and i felt like no matter what i tried to say she couldnt understand me...like trying to make three points all at once....and left wanting was a very fitting song.

thanks again everybody......

That explains it. Yeah, depressing being with someone for a while and then breaking up with them. I broke with my girlfriend of 2 and a half years about 6 months ago. Still lingers in the memories, but you move on sooner or later. That's life strangely enough. I have yet to write a song about that relationship. I have a couple of things in mind, but nothing really complete yet.

It is a rough subject for me, I hate talking about it really.

At any rate, well done piece, I.A.. Keep uploading and I will keep listening!

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

cheers guitaranatomy

yes i must admit most of my old songs were about "love turns to sh*t" type of love songs...left wanting is only one of many anti-love songs..punchdrunk is another...i even have a song called ..."love makes you fat"...it warns of all the downsides of love...catchy tune too..

its almost like it was easier to write when i was pissed off at someone or something...now i just write what i wana write and ive never been happier
my new stuff is alot more laid back...i guess im getting old or im getting lazy

and i gota listen to some S.T.P. and see what they sound like..ive only heard one or two tunes and im amazed to see if they sound like "ME"

im kidding.....

goodluck with the writing process guitar...and remember the trick is to be true to what your saying....if you dont believe what your singing people wont believe it...and vice versa...be true to yourself and hope to god people like it..thats what i do.

Cheers I.A.. When you are depressed about something it is a lot easier to write songs, lol. I hear James Hetfield (Metallica) wrote "Nothing Else Matters" over a girlfriend, brilliant song. So you are right, you write it and express your emotions as best as you can, and then hope people like it.

Yes, you do sound like STP a lot. A lot lighter compared, but very similar still. Check them out when you have the time.

I am going to go work on my new piece right now, it is coming along good, I am going to take a riff I just made, I think, and turn it into that song about that relationship. Music is a gateway to the soul and out of it.

Peace out to all, GuitarAnatomy.

I like it Anthony! Very well done. I know about the girlfriend thing and even though it can be a tough thing to get through sometimes a broken heart has inspired many a person to write a great song.

For real! Many of my favorite songs were inspired by heartbreak.

too true paul and mike....i always wrote of scary love,,,not this i love you you love me type of slush that most people write about..

heartbreak makes for better songs i think......

i dont know why its just always been like that for me....

im starting to write songs that arent so personal and are more observation than experiance....the songs ive written since ive came to america are very different due to the fact that everything is new to me
and i have had to adapt myself to suite my suroundings....

so it has changed what i write about and how i write.
