A group of survivors from a sunken cruise ship are adrift in the ocean during WW2.
It turns out one of them is a Nazi spy.
HE sank the ship.

As they go on day after day, without food or water, the Nazi is rowing... toward Germany.
It seems like this guy is unusually healthy, for being in their situation.
Then, they discover that he has a hidden stash of food & water.
Although weak from hunger and dehydration, they eventually overpower him and throw him to the sharks.
They change direction and are later rescued by a British ship, I think.

It has been a long time since I saw the movie.
But, it went something like that.

Now, in this situation, the Nazi is the sole person onboard with anything to eat or drink.
He's exploiting the situation to take prisoners into Nazi Germany, who are so desperate to be rescued a concentration camp sounds like paradise.

Does it make it immoral to steal from the Nazi?
It's his supplies.
He's taking them to land... where they will probably be sent to a gas chamber, eventually.
Or, do circumstances change the dynamics of morality?
Aren't there gray areas?

I have to admit I didn't read the whole thing Mikey! I can't stomach so much bullshit it makes me want to puke! I will say that its anoder loophole from a bitter person! One that hates the world because he feels it took a dump on him! I am truley sorry for you Mikey!

Then, I have to say you're another full-of-shit neoconservative who won't answer the question.
I am sorry for all of us.

has anybody ever studied the Feudal System practiced in Europe in the Middle Ages? if so, was it a fair system for the peasants, and your reason why it was fair to toil for peanuts

ok, forget I asked a question that probably has no bearing on modern society, but modern society is reverting back to a similar system as fiefdoms, except the new King, Lords, Barons, etc. is the CORPORATIONS sucking every last penny out of everybody because of their monopolies in place and the new peasant class is anybody rejecting working for a corporate entity and the strict mandates they place on their employees.. it is though CORPORATIONS have a stranglehold on everybody from CORPORATE farms supplying us our processed and unhealthy foodstuffs, CORPORATIONS having a monopoly on the fuels we need to transport ourselves, CORPORATIONS having a monopoly on what you see on the TV and RADIO and somewhat the internet.. MONSANTO has genetically modified grains that we eat as safe but do we really know what it's doing?.. go organic you will thank me later..

I gave Wikipedia a quick look.
Robin Hood's origins are more confusing than The Joker's from Batman.
There appears to be no definitive PERSON that the character is based on.
Rather, the mythology seems to have risen by many sources.
It is a character of popular folklore based on the actions of many people combined together into one person.
At least, that's the impression I've gotten from the Wikipedia article.

Of course he was a thief.
"STEAL from the rich and give to the poor."
But, he was also a hero of good deeds.
This makes his character a complex individual, neither black nor white... existing in a moral gray area.
Sorta like Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

It could be argued that he was enforcing social justice, where the law had failed.
It is a failure of the state and the economic system (feudalism) that motivates him.
So, rather than being a mere thief, he could be viewed as an economic vigilante.

Bullshit! The man was a THIEF! When stealing from anyone there is NO gray area! Its black or white. Most civilizations view it this way. Don't believe me go to the middle east and steal something from anyone, you'll wind up walking around with one hand! Stealing IS NOT OKAY PEOPLE its phukin THEFT PERIOD! IMO anyone that steals is a lazy worthless drain on humanity and peice of SH!T! :x
that is laughable, the psychiatric tests most employers were testing employees ( applicants) had usually a question dealing with "Have You Ever Stole From Workplace"? if you answered no you failed that portion of the test..REASON BEING 100% of employees have taken a pencil home and thus have stolen property, it's a documented fact..another thing, people who are claiming they are not a thief, are indirectly stealing when they drive over the speed limit 1 mph.. they are lawbreakers like a thief is..

I once applied for a sh*t job when i was in school, and the guy who interviewed me actually left the office , saying he'd be back... I waited 45 minutes before I realized he wasnt coming back. So I walked up to his silly camera and flipped him the bird. I had no time for his tom-foolery... I knew at that point I could never work for an asshole like that.
