Yeah, working to uphold human rights and civil liberties can really piss a person off I see.
. Didn't I just explain what humanism is really about? You still don't get it. When somebody else defines your human rights, civil liberties, and individual happiness, you have none. It's been proven time and time again, from the Soviet Union to North Korea. I STUDIED this in college with a professor who LIVED it. This garbage doesn't work.

I still think you're confusing your 'isms'.
But, I have to agree with Jimmy.
When it becomes an 'ism' all sorts of trouble starts.

and I thought Maharishi Yogi invented Transcendental Meditation.. several of us students at Indian Hills Community College used to work at FALCO (Fairfield Aluminum Foundry Co.) to earn money to go to school and pay tuition and rent, and we drove from Ottumwa to Fairfield every late afternoon for out 2nd shift and 5 nights a week drove right by Maharishi University.. what a trip.. many of those mothas at Maharishi University have learned the techniques on how to levitate, it is a natural phenomenon not black magic and has something to do with repelling gravity.. LOLOLO!!!.

Most religious people have been taught (brainwashed?) that all morality comes from God, or even sillier the Bible. Morality is the collective beliefs of a society and is subjective. Having it "wrote down" just makes it convenient for some folks.

Actually, Jimmy...ALL religious people have been taught that. NON religious people simply refuse to accept the origin. And BTW, a religious person has a better chance at originality than a non religious person....After all, while some of us appear to have invented God, Nobody here, ever 'invented' gravity.

The reason why that is said is because it's absolutely true.

Apart from the universal law of God, there is no such thing as right or wrong. The morality of the bible is "righteousness" whereas most of what is called "morality" today is a societal judgment that can vary from geographical location to human preference.

Aaaahhhh.

Righteousness.

Self-rightousness, more like it.
