So I figured I would say something that would get people's attention... hopefully a warning to not sh!t by the pool table was enough of a headline to make it work.

My music project called "Litost" just released our first EP.
It is currently #16 on Amazon's list of Alternative Metal.

It's a fusion of Sadness, Wonder and Science Fiction in the form of Instrumental Music and you need to check it out.

Really appreciate it everyone.

Not bad. As instrumentals the recording is good but vocals would help propel it to a higher level. Was no vocals a decision or a consequence?

A decision.
I figured it was better to try and make the best music possible rather than lay down average vocals.
There are so many bands in my area with decent music, but the songs are totally ruined was AWFUL vocals.
Plus I like it because it leaves more room on each track for extra sounds that would make a track sound congested with vocals.

That is the major problem with "metal" these days, the vocals. Screaming, growling, grunting - none of it makes the music any better. Trying to find a great vocalist is like looking for the Golden Ticket. But metal music without vocals will have only limited appeal, mostly to other musicians.

True, the road to "success" will definitely be a lot tougher.
If I were to do vocals, it would be something with a lighter touch to it. Think Deftones when the vocals are calm or Katatonia is another perfect example of mixing heavy music with lighter, more melodic vocals.
The thumb's up is much appreciated by the way!

Success is not always measured by unit sales. Many people would say recording an album of originals that you feel good about and others enjoy is success in itself. Do you have a band that can perform the album?

Nope. That's gonna be my biggest drawback, I think.
Not being able to play it live.
I'm pretty good with networking and things like that though.
The main purpose of the EP was to basically give a 20-minute preview of what I am capable of by myself. Get a little attention and then have at least a bit of a following/attention for when I do a full-length.

Good Job, you have a lot of work ahead of you.
The music is not even half of it.[/b]
