It's nice someone else has said what I've been trying to say all along. It's not just me. I don't care. The greatest of these can't accept anyone else with a skill that doesn't fit their wants and needs. Look at what was written to the only female has posted here in a long time. JW, don't you HATE those green plastic tuners?

I had those on a SG and I couldn't keep that whore in tune no matter what I did to it..I finally got rid of it as fast as possible..

Naw those tuners work fine Scotty. The older SG neck is another story. I have a '67 SG with P90s and it was my main axe for 10 years. Over time the neck/body joint just gets flexible and tuning becomes very ummmm "flexible" as well. I chased it by changing the tuners, changing the nut and hard tailing the bridge. Nothin. I am sure a luthier could steel reinforce the neck joint somehow but I chose to retire it instead as-is.

I have two other guitars with those tuners and they stay in tune with the best of em.
