Tried to listen, but .wav must be another unsupported file format. I'm not using a computer; I'm usiing MSN TV2. It's okay to surf the net, but pretty much useless for anything else. I'll be recording some good stuff with my friend's computer within the next week. I'm not sure which recording program he has, but I just bought a firewire interface for it. As soon as we get something done I'll put it up. I'll also check your stuff out while I'm there using his computer.

Think I'll let it grow a bit first. If there are only 10 users, I can't see signing up for a pay membership yet; even if the first 2 months are free. Yeah, I'm cheap. I'm a musician. :)

They have free memberships, too, just like bandmix.
.
BTW, any computer can play a wav. file.

I'm not using a computer. Ever hear of WebTV? It's a little box (like a vcr) that hooks up to your tv & lets you surf the net & get e-mail using the tv as the monitor. There's no mic input or anything that would allow recording, & most music formats are unsupported. When I tried to listen to your file it just said "download will begin shortly" & quit. I can play certain files, but I can't download anything since there's no hard drive to save it to.

I understand.
You're gonna have to use a friend's computer, then, huh?
.
My bass man just stopped in, & we played about 5 - 6 songs.
Now - back to work.

Yep, gotta use a friend's computer. I looked for free memberships at unitingbands.com, but all I found was the first 2 months free. Like I said; I'm cheap. :) I think I'll wait for some more members, then sign up. What good is 2 free months when nobody is there? Besides, I like to arrive at a party when it's already hopping. :)

Julie,
How many hours a week do you practice?

Well, The band usually practices about 4 hours, twice a week, but if they'd go for more I'd do it. I try to do at least a little something musical every day; usually an hour or so singing or just listening & learning new songs. I have some (gasp) karaoke cds I sing along with if nothing else.

Hey, Julie -
Nothing sadder than a musician who can't find anyone to play with. :(
Got any leads on any bands yet?

A few nibbles... But I do have some good news. Acoustic duo Julie & The Foxx have reunited! We'll be playing every Thursday at Wise Guys Watering Hole in Daytona. Alex is an extremely talented guitarist, & I really enjoy playing with him. I'd really love to have him in my band, but he wants to go solo. Maybe I can talk him into doing both, & get a new bass player.

That is great news - happy for ya.
:)
It's the 'squeaking wheel that gets the grease,' huh? :)
.
But - even though you've found something - don't stop looking, yet.
.
Who knows? Things can ALWAYS get better, huh?
