Taylor Kinchen
In Loving Memory...

Image

We regret to inform our friends and family, that on January 21, 2008 at 2:52 AM, our beautiful 6 year old friend Taylor Kinchen, passed away, after a long hard fight to survive brain and spinal cancer. While we know with a profound certainty that she is now surrounded and safe within the loving arms of God, our father, nevertheless, for the family she leaves behind, and for all of us as well, her loss is painful and difficult to deal with, and she will be missed greatly.

Southern Mischief is deeply grateful to have known Taylor, and the Kinchen family, which now, have become our own family, and we feel profoundly blessed to have been touched in ways that we will never forget, by the love and courage of this daughter of God. We earnestly believe, that The Lord himself, entrusted the message and melody of "Taylor's Song" as a tribute to her short but profoundly meaningful life.

As the song testifies about Taylor...

"You lift us up, and make us feel a part. You paint our world with colors of the heart. This world is just, a canvas for God's art, and honey it's you... that paints another part"

Taylor painted our world with some of the most beautiful and vibrant colors we have ever seen, and she will always hold, forever and ever, a very special place in each of our hearts!

Our love and prayers are with the family.

I reposted Taylor's Song on our BandMix song player if anyone hasn't had the chance to hear it. Comments of support are welcome on Taylor's MySpace profile, listed above. Thanks for everyone's prayers!

Taylor's Song (Colors of the Heart)© 2007 Craig Maxim

Hands for holding
Hearts to feel
Still the pain comes
That's so hard to heal

Looking into, hopeful eyes
Holding tears back,
Whenever she smiles

-------- Refrain --------
Somehow I just can't decide
Who's really helping who
Cause sometimes it feels like......

-------- CHORUS --------
You lift us up, and make us feel a part
You paint our world, with colors of the heart
This world is just a canvas for God's art
And honey it's you, that paints another part
-------------------------------

Can you feel Him, up above
His heart surrounding you
With so much love

Little angel, little child
You took such fragile wings
And learned how to fly, so high

( Refrain)

(Chorus x 2)

That is a very tragic situation. That is what I throw in peoples faces when they say it is too hard to become a doctor.

Why should a beautiful innocent child like that have to die? I am keeping to my word and becoming a doctor if it kills me.

My strongest, deepest, condolences to the family. May God be with us all and particularly watch over them in their time of sadness.

Peace be with us all, GuitarAnatomy.

Thanks Irminsul.

And G/A, you have a good soul! Thank you!

I am pretty overwhelmed right now. We were at the hospital with her, only hours before she died. We became very close to the family through all this.

We started a "change your profile pic" campaign on MySpace, and lots of people on our friend's list haven't even gotten home from work yet, but go to our MySpace profile, and see how many people are changing their profile pics in memory of Taylor for 2 weeks!

Look at our friend's list on the lower right side of the page.

Thank you Craig Maxim. It is a very sad situation, I just wish there was something anyone could have done to change such an outcome.

Hey, you yourself need to try and take it easy man. That is sad you were there only hours before her passing. As I said, may God be with them and all of us who are affected by this tragedy. I know God is with her right now.

Peace to all, GuitarAnatomy.

Taylor's spirit is in our hearts.

For you Craig, I offer these words by Kahlil Gibran,

"Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry,
the philosophy which does not laugh
and the greatest which does not bow before children."

God bless you and yours.

John

Thanks John. I like Kahlil Gibran. "The Prophet" is one of my favorites. my mom used to have an audio version of that book on casette, spoken by Richard Harris, with music and singing that accompanied it. Kind of like a musical on tape. I used to listen to it when I was a kid.

Kind of makes our musical and/or political arguments seem trivial in comparison. It's not fair for someone so young to go through something like that. Instead of everyone receiving a tax rebate like they're talking about, they should take the money and put it toward medical research. Later...

Cancer is one of those very mysterious illnesses.

It can come out of nowhere, and it can vanish. There are documented instances of the cancer cells just disappearing, with no known medical explanation as to why.

Medicine has progressed immensely in modern times, and I am sure, we will see many major illnesses defeated as time goes by.

and my naturopathic doctor maintains that if a body's pH is alkaline cancer cells cannot form. Also there's been extensive research suggesting that cancer cells survive and thrive when people consume lots of sugar. More and more research is showing that diet plays a large role in cancer development. I'm hoping that our medical establishment opens up more to natural research (diet, herbs, Chinese medicine, etc.). Everyone actually has cancer cells developing constantly and being destroyed by your immune system. Research should start devoting more time to what makes an individual's immune system work optimally. Drugs and surgery can only do so much. Later...
