I at least offered an idea that avoids outright banning. You guys on the right would seriously have a wild west society where 12,000+ annually die from gunshot woulds, as opposed to a society where less than 100 do? It has little to do with your personal freedums and more to do with your hatred for your government and your fellow citizens. If you REALLY CARED about the constitution so much, why aren't you promising violence over the other amendments that have been destroyed by modern legislation, mostly the 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th amendments?? You would never do that TODAY, but you might tomorrow. Mankind has proven that we're capable of doing very stupid things individually, so why have firearms readily available? I have a friend who's 357 Mag was taken and ultimately took someones head off.. you think he wanted to ever use the gun again? Do you think he doesn't suffer depression ever since?
