I followed the trials of an Iranian pastor whom was jailed and awaiting execution for teaching the Gospel.
Hundreds of thousands signed petitions and raised millions of dollars to defend him and free his lawyer whom was imprisoned for defending him in court.
This went on for months. Not a word on our version of Pravda . . . not one word.

Yes, this was in IRAN.
The same country that still stones people to death!
The truth of Christian persecution is they're not very persecuted AT ALL in most industrialized countries.
Christians have clung to this victim mentality long after they became the aggressors in most cases.
So, save it.
This isn't ancient Rome.

While it is true that most American christians have no idea what real persecution is (yet), things are changing here quickly.

Persecution of any group always starts with marginalization and libel. That program is well underway in America and supported by our current Administration.

Americans are simply ignorant of how Islam comes in like a small seed but grows into a dark tree blocking out the light.

The freedoms we all enjoy in America were brought to us by christians who escaped religious and political tyranny of Europe. They tried to make sure that grace towards religious conviction was respected by encapsulating that right into our Constitution.

The tone of your response says you have only contempt for christians who, admittedly, can appear to be hyper-critical about religious harassment that has not yet risen to the level of persecution we see in places like Sudan, China, Vietnam, Belarus, etc.

Apart from a conviction to a higher power than mankind, we will all be helpless victims of runaway totalitarian government because it is allowed to happen to christians first. So, like it or not, we are your first line of defense against a dictator even if you aren't a christian.

That would be RELIGION... PERIOD.
It's no freakin' wonder the Chinese government is terrified of religion.
Not just Christianity.
EVERY religious movement in their history eventually collapsed the whole country.
The ROMAN EMPIRE collapsed because of Christianity.

I don't remember which video I was watching on YouTube.
But, there was a very interesting lecture being given at a university about the history of scientific advancement and retreat in different civilizations.
One example was how there was a 300 year period in the middle east where they were at the TOP of civilized advancement.
ONE Muslim scholar changed all that.
His interpretations of Islam sent them back into the dark ages and they haven't really recovered since.

Now, this lecture proceeded to look at contemporary society.
The parallels to modern American Christians are chilling.
Because we are rolling right down the same path that those Muslims did.
America is a relatively young country.
We've been at the top of civilized advancement for just a few decades.
And we are ALREADY showing signs of this anti-intellectual attitude that sunk the Muslims.

oy, that delusional paranoia is ignorant of fact and history. Is it any wonder since you get your education from YouTube?

Here's the truth: America was founded by an overwhelmingly christian population and that is why we were at the top of civilized advancement. The undermining of christian values directly coincides with the current down falling of America.

Apart from a moral population, freedom to do what one wants is merely license for evil; as we saw in Connecticut, and Columbine, and every place where God has been removed.

Obviously you have no idea what christianity, judaism, nor islam teaches. The word "islam" literally means "submission" whereas it was christianity that introduced to the world the jewish idea of every person having infinite value being made in the image of God

Abuses of the foundational precepts of christianity have occured many times in history but it was christians who opposed it and eventually set it right.

Like when they came to America to form a new nation where certain inaleniable rights are guaranteed by our Creator. There is no right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness apart from that.

Especially not under atheism or sharia law.

Christianity is always the one in the cross hairs. There are in reality - two religions: Christianity (Grace), everything else, (works).

It drives people insane with rage I'm afraid. Christians are saved by the actions of God Himself - all the others have a to do list that IF you follow it you MIGHT be saved. They think we are lazy or sloppy or blasphemous, you name it. Yet it is we who actually trust in God. Our duty is to embrace Grace, not grasp at it with our own hands.

We assume ourselves to be sinners and regret it. The others, try as they will, are just never quite sure if they are saved. Because big surprise, they too are sinners, and have no way to get around that.

Christianity is the only non logical religion. I'd sure hate to bet my ass on my own logic!

A Mormon friend of man told he wakes up some nights and thinks, "Have I done enough?" He'll never know - how can he. But I wake up and think, Christ has done ALL that needs to be done, and lucky for me.

The Roman Empire collapsed because of Corruption.
If they, as a people, had turned to God, and attempted with their whole hearts to walk in Christ's light . . . We'd all be Roman Citizens to date.

You see . . . persecution is everywhere.

Not just Iran.

Ban rocks before that begins here.

Make it illegal to throw rocks over 1/4 oz.
