Jimmy doesn't comprehend what is going in in this world, let alone understand what you try to tell him. He's not that bright when it comes to common sense. Now he's the type that you need to keep from owning a gun. Irrational, unable to think clearly, hot headed and a traitor to this republic.
He didn't even know we fought a war to get out from under a tyrannical government. I guess that is why he is so intent on helping this one. It was beyond his comprehension that they didn't have automatic weapons when that war was was fought, and he is just as ignorant that the right to bear arms was given to protect us from future tyrants like the ones running this country today.
The founders believed that the militia should have the same capabilities as the military, and the citizens of the new republic kept those weapons that were state of the art at the time. That way they could fight back any tyrannical take over of this country. The founders knew that we would never be conquered from outside, but that we could be destroyed by traitors from the inside. Therefore the right to bear arms.
But you shouldn't keep on picking on him. Your fighting with him is rather like Muhammad Ali fighting a one armed man.
