Israeli scientists have been studying the Griffon Vulture, an endangered species, trying to determine migration, breeding and feeding habits. The Israeli scientist banded the birds with contact info in case a dead bird was found. But no, the Sudanese believe that the vulture was the height of high-tech spy technology, and most likely many vultures and other birds of prey will now be killed by anti-semitic, paranoid submorons...
There are more things in Sudan to worry about than them shooting vultures. More than 2 million christians in the south have been murdered by the Islamists in the north since 1988.
Still today, slavery exists in Sudan. The oil fields of the south are exploited by China and the muslims of the north have been trying to get the christians off of that land since.
Throughout the 90s and the last decade, the Bashir-government would routinely raid villages, bomb hospitals/schools/churches/public centers.
For most of that time, the only people and nation willing to help these persecuted christians of Sudan was Israel. I have friends all over Israel who care for Sudanese refugees who had nowhere else to go.
I assume you aren't aware of this, bob, or you'd be more concerned about the Sudanese government killing people than them killing vultures. Heck, if they killed all the vultures, they would necessarily have to kill themselves.
