Because you'd developed common sense? When did we need protection against govt? Georgia boys never have to ask that question.

This is the worst oppressive society seen in the US and that includes the excesses most of you are propbably unaware of when the govt pigs first tricked us into playing world war in 1917.

Why on earth would any sane person trust someone who says, "It will be safer if you give up your guns."

While I prefer long guns I will not under any circumstances give up my pistols because they give me an edge when the ferals start kicking my car or the govt pigs think they are safe.

No potential enemy must every think for one momement that they are safe.

That is what the GOD GIVEN RIGHT of self defense is about. Govt did not 'grant' it since it was not in their power, and we will not give it up for the same reason.

As to this demonic murderer of children? My God - why is he still alive? And yes the laws in place should have protected us from him but they didn't - the only protection against such a freak is a gun. Trust a politician for safety or a cop, and you better buy your vaseline in case lots.

Yeah and most of those killings were from "Ilegal" hand guns. ( mostly democrats,, not getting enough free stuff).

Right deep thinker. Well, I guess if you didn't know that we had a war with the government before you wouldn't realize that THEY didn't have automatic weapons back then either.

I am not a liberal, but a left leaning centrist, and I think a lot of the problems with these mass shootings lately, has nothing to do with gun control, but has everything to do with removing certain lessons in the Bible from use in society in general.. I am thinking, "Spare The Rod Spoil The Child" ...it is somewhat of an understatement.. spare the rod and you raise literal monsters capable of not knowing the value of human life and never "corrected" with the rod they value nothing as sacred and feel they can do as they wish cause they don't have the normal fear of God in them that keeps them from knowing right from wrong..

You know,, This was a tragedy. I don't want to seem to be making nothing of it. Very sad.

Now to get angry this is what happens when people DO NOT HAVE ANY SENSE OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOME FORM OF GOVERNMENT ABSOLVES YOU OF NEEDING PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

Guns,,, let us get this straight. There are probably 200 MILLION American households that have fire arms. 150 million have stockpiles of ammo, and are well armed and well trained in the use of these weapons. THEY ALL UNDERSTAND THE TREMENDOUS PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY THAT THEY HAVE.

All of these people,,,, even more than all our police and military are the reason that no foreign enemies will ever be willing to put "BOOTS ON THE GROUND" here.

Disarm the American people,,,, Take down America,,, NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!!

Jimmy, I'm not going to be a hypocrite (getting riled up when someone discounts autism causes out-of-hand), so I will give you this much - there needs to be open, fair, and serious discourse about this problem.
I don't think that it can be solved, but still, it's worth looking at.

Dont ban guns. Allow law abiding citizens the right to carry. If a responsible gun owner would have been present at either incident the outcomes might have been different.

You are so right on the money Dane. The Bible shows what society should be. Man adapted that in this free society, but when man began to believe it was his own set of rules, he found it easy to abandon them. For without countability there is no justice.

I pretty much said that a day or two ago.
If morality is judt philosophy or opinion, then we're screwed.

I'd rather everyone was packing rather than no one was packing.
