General Music Chat

Trying to come up with a good band name is hard.
But, it is very important.

I don't want anything pluralized, with a "THE" in front of it, like THE RAMONES, THE VENTURES, or THE SPECIALS.

I'd like to name us something easy to remember, just three or four syllables, like NIRVANA or METALLICA.
But, I want something odd and unusual, like PRINCESS DRAGON-MOM, STEEL POLE BATH TUB or BUTTHOLE SURFERS.
I'd wanted to name us something like GHIDORAH or CHIMERA.
But, those, it turned out, were already taken.

My cover bands name is Aint Yo Mama, me and the drummer have joked about starting one witha gal singing and call it Who's Your Daddy.

We had a short lived band called Kinda Like That, I was in one called I Ama Jama.

I guess it could get really hard to find a name that isnt being used.

I sat in with Hired Guns a couple of weeks ago, another local band is Corn Fed Mafia.

I like more than one word in a name I guess.

Tim Yohannon, founder of MaximumRockNRoll Magazine, had a monthly column called "Yo Mama".
I wouldn't want us to be confused with him.
He's been dead for years.

Mike, I always thought the name Free Beer would go over good on a marquee, maybe even Band for Hire.
