midi usb interfaces have become pretty commonplace nowadays...
should be able to find one at guitar center in the keyboards section.
however, for about the sm price you could search music go round online and find a midisport 2x2. they are nice, I had one a while back before I moved to an 8x8... if you've got a lot of keyboards to hook up and they don't all have through jacks... and you need to isolate this one or that one easily, well it's worked for me.

I was hoping I could find one someone had lying around. (You never know unless you ask.)

He's percolating and I don't want him to wait too long, lest he lose something he could have recorded.

I just need the cable USB to MIDI for his keyboard, not the interface.

yeah, best bet for quick is to call a few music stores and ask...

I never go to "Guitard Center" for anything.
I wouldn't even trust them with guitar picks.
If it's not at an independent mom & pop type shop, or on eBay, then I don't need it.

Yeah the problem is that the cord is between $29 or 39$ and then they want 85$+ to ship.

If I could get the cord I could ship it for actual cost, not FleaBay's inflated shipping and handling trap.

And it's for someone who produces..I don't like to keep people that are actively working waiting on equipment even if I'm not part of the scenario.

Yeah that's what we're dealing with now.

That Sam Ash is right across the street from another Guitard Center and they both suck eggs.

The Guitard Center in Somerville sucks eggs and is new.

I wasn't really looking for the same old, rip-you-off chain.
I was hoping someone had an in or one lying around in a decrepit state etc.

I looked at one yesterday that was used but the freak wanted the same amount for a new one and it looked corroded. (I'd deal with Guitard Center before I did THAT.)

I called him on it and got "if you don't like it, don't buy it".
That's sure way to send me packing every time.
