Oh boy.
I just went to Kroger for some pop and the staff had found a malnurished kitten in the dumpster.
They asked me if I wanted it.
So, rather than let it end up in a shelter, I took it home.
The other four cats are not pleased.

Mama says foosball is the DEVIL! Seriously though check it for ringworms and fleas! I knew you are a good guy Mike!

We're learning a few things about Boo-Boo, the Kroger kitty.
She likes to steal ham sandwiches and Hot Pockets.
I guess she's used to eating human food and is not too picky.
She also likes to crawl into plastic shopping bags and go to sleep.
We think this may be how she stayed warm when she was homeless.

Must be starving if she'll eat a Hot Pocket.

Way Cool... I Have a "Tabby" which I bought from a shelter...I never understood why the spots on mine ...But Apparently tabbys are a derivitive breed of the Ocicat. The ears are tell tale. Mine has smaller ears along with a mixture of other cat...(Evident in the copper fur on her underside)

I've been wanting a cat - mine stayed with the wife when the door swung open.

I'm not home a lot though and that is no good for the criitter if you want it be a house cat. Too many big dogs in my hood to let a cat run around.

Plus there is a very nasty disease running around El Gato's population which jumps from the kitty to the owner. It's been characterized as a 'trojan' which activates the part of the brain that makes us suicidal.

How do they know this? Beats me.

Two of our cats had to be put down after they got too sick.
It's some sort of "cat AIDS" that cats can carry for years without showing any symptoms.
Then one day, they catch a cold and their immune system shuts down.
We have one cat, the ocicat, who has always suffered from some unknown respiratory problem.
She is constantly coughing and having trouble breathing.
But, we don't have enough money for OURSELVES to go to the doctor, let alone pay a vet.
So, we just do whatever we can.
I hope the new kitten stays healthy.
It appears that she only needed some food and a warm place to stay.
