Dane

Did you say "honorable' president? That sack of sh*t is a red diaper baby from jump street and the enemy of freedom.

And who cares if the repubs go down? Screw 'em. For once I'm in agreement with Mike Nobody on a political issue - just two sides of the same corrupt coin - may they both go to hell.

I keep hoping people will wake up and stop this nonsense of repubs and democrats - that crap is so over...it's all new now and all bad. We can fix it (which will not be pretty) or we can suck it up - and that won't be much fun either. Though most Americans couldn't give a sh*t less...freedom? Too much work.

both of the cretinous 'two' party system left wing /right wing posers want to only to increase their power over you and me. I keep praying for the big rock to hit that whorehouse on the Potomac....

btw - Neocon? Right wing? My aunt fanny. The original and many of the current 'neocons' were Trotskyites who decided to get off invading all the countries they could. Pretty conservative of them eh?

WOW...

We do need a new party that will stand up for the CONSTITUTION. For America. Even the Tea Party is just a bunch of chickenshoots!

The old guard knew the day would come when the attacks would come from within, being supported by forces from without.

Bring it on BABY!

Thats the liberal agenda to kill the republican party. For now I have no choice but to watch the liberal spending bankrupt this nation. After that we will see how well the Dem. party does. At some point YA'LL have to take responsibility for your actions, hell you can't blame Bush forever! Really I hope when the dust settles we have a REAL 3rd party that is fiscally responsible and represents ALL Americans!

Well, about 90% as bad.
There ARE a few decent Democrats.
But, they are few and far in-between.

Vote Green!
Vote Libertarian!
Anybody but a Republican!

I see the democrats equally as bad. There's a small few from both parties that seem to be decent people overall, but even the "best" in congress have made disappointing decisions / votes at some points in their career..

So yeah, I agree agree and agree, vote green / independent .. I like the greens simply because they have a decent platform, and a rock-solid history of actually doing what they say/campaign on. They don't accept any corporate or super-pac donations, and aren't beholden to the corporate lobbyists.

Which is much better than the dog-and-pony-show we get today where once in office, dems and reps proceed to F the common man with a cactus. The reason they argue so much is only about which breed of cactus to use and whose turn it is to F us.

Forgive my ignorance, is green the same as independent?

If not, I'd vote green.

Super-pac of lies packaged by corporate morons only interested in this century. (The next century will be fuct, but that's ok...we'll all be dead by then so NO PROBLEM.) (Let whoever is alive then deal with it and foresight is something we neither think about, nor concerned with.)

the term "independent" is more of a description than an actual party. In simple terms, you have republicans and democrats. They are "main" parties, using the simple math that any party to be considered a main party must achieve 5% of the total general vote to be eligible for campaign financing and to participate in the debates of the next general election.

Any party that is outside of the main parties is considered an "independent" party. They are also commonly refered to as the 3rd party ("a third party candidate", for instance). The definitions by the media can vary, as some link independent parties to independent thought (there's some irony lol!), and therefore refer to an independent party and progressive movement/party as one and the same. This is just another level where our media has failed us, intentionally in my opinion.

But anyways, there are literally dozens of independent parties, but like the main parties, they have standards on their own debate formats, but outside of that, it's pretty much a "you are on your own" playing field.

Of the major independents, you have:

The Green Party
The Libertarian Party
The Justice Party
The Constitutional Party

I voted for green, but would have voted justice if they were on the ballot here in PA. I'm a registered green, but I prefer to vote for who I perceive to be the best candidate. Rocky Anderson had a really great platform, and a solid reputation with two terms of governing NM, mostly bucking the system and doing exactly what he promised. Not many politicians can say that!
