nuthin wrong with playing banjo....most of those good banjo players inject musicality into what they do. see, the trick is making sure you're actually playing something and not just wheedling and wanking away on it a million notes per bar w no feel and sloppy and weak phrasing. and then there's the basic stuff like injecting some melody... a sense of forward motion like the music is actually going somewhere.
the other good thing about banjo is that w no whammy bar there's no pesky intonation issues and they don't come off like some 17 yr old w asstone who's inflatuated w their hero EVH.
