General Music Chat

Ya know,, after putting in 10 , 12 , 14 hour days after this hurricane Sandy.
I'm tired. 2 weeks of running, 700 miles of running under power lines , trees blocking roads , gas lines blocking roads, selfish people, and anything else that could go wrong.
I'm coming into winter here and I am just trying to get all my friends and customers ready. I'm backed up so far it isn't funny.

Gwen's father died this morning. It's funny how things come together.
I have known him for 28 years. He taught my son his first word,,sh*t. we were dropping them off at a ferry and he got the wrong cup of coffee, and the one word he uttered was,, well.... My son repeated that all the way home.

Any way my biggest problem, we were close. (you gave me your daughter and I gave you some grankids )

I guess I am only writing this because deep down I am celebrating his life,,,,

Deep down I am suddenly faced with trying to show my family the triumph of grandpas life.

Sorry, I am not looking for condolences. Thanks anyway.

I'm just tired and it was just one last little kick around things. BUT!!

In a stupid way, now I can go and do all the things he thought were very risky. Like small planes.

Boy it's amazing how family dynamics come into play. I'm seeing all the grandkids that are harboring guilt. They are coming in from all over the country.I don't know why, it seems to be a general lack of understanding of life.

Any way, It's sunday morning, for the first time in 2 weeks I have a chance to just stop. That may change in 10 minutes,,,, maybe I'll get lucky.

Glen, I can't imagine what your family is going thru, I got home from a gig this morning at 3am and saw this. I was obeying your wish by not saying anything! Please know Your family is in our prayers!

You know Jeff,,,, this was just general rant because the more people got power back, the crazier it got with restoring heat because of BLOWN controls and wasted electronics. Then in a whole bunch of other things that can normally go wrong..... I been runnin.

This was just another kick in the pants at the wrong time.
I actually feel great, because I didn't have to run out early and had 2 calls I fixed over the phone.

YA KNOW,,, This is just part of life. I was just bitchin cause when it rains sometimes it just pours. Hurricane sandy,,,, then this.
