i suppose if you want to put tubes in your amp that are over 30 yrs old that's your affair.
they might sound good, for about 20 min
then they will be trash
but I'm willing to bet good money they won't sound good at all.
cause they are spent
dude, NOS tubes do not deteriorate.. they only deteriorate by being used in a circuit.. and mine have been kep in a climate controlled facility..LOLL!!

I've gotten a lot of good usable, even some great, tubes out of amp chassis of old organs from the 1960's, that people give away for free on craigslist. Got a very nice sounding NOS 12AU7A RCA "clear-top" at a yard sale for a few dollars.
I think you should take JCP61 up on that bet!
don't ya just hate it when they make you take the whole organ though? then you got 20 dollars (landfill dumping fee) in it taking it to the landfill

why don't rummage up that guitar amp
I have a tube-type Fender DeVille JCP.. and I can't get a heavy metal sound of it to save my soul, only get the cleanest purest toned country guitar sound with my Nashville Telecaster

don't lie (again)...you have recorded and subjected us to "piano" that was recorded in two passes. don't you remember you threw a hissy when vinny and i called you out on it? ok, so you recorded it from a gtr synth...big whoop. you still got my point.....and it still sounded like overcompressed pooh. (have you figured out what "compression" is yet?)

gawd....i hate liars.

and try to educate yourself please. ask someone who knows something about music and instruments....these instruments are MANDOLINS.....not banjos.

Well, what else would expect with a Nashville Tele?

Want heavy metal with that amp, get a PRS or Jackson, and add a stompbox.

yeah, an open back spk combo and a tele....not the best recipe for metal.

which Deville d'ya have dane? i've got the 2x12 one. love it, but i so rarely have gigs that need that volume and so end up using my '65 Deluxe RI.

of course you can't because it is a fender schematic with solid-state pre amp modifications
it is designed to imitate a popularly perceived vintage sound.

I mean, you could do it, but the range and quality would be vary limited.

Maybe this would help getting that sound ... I doubt it would do much for your soul though.

I'm Sorry, That just looks like a mutation to me... Its like crossing Clapton with Gene Simmons and coming up with an American Standard with a tongue

wow..that is one seeeeeereiously fugly tele. reminds me of a bassplayer i used to play w. she had an older WASHBURN 5 strng w one of those sickle headstocks and she liked to move around on stage. after impaling the gtrst w that thing he grabbed a windscreen off his mic and put it over the offending weapon where it still resides to this day.

That thing defeats any reason for even TRYING to call it a TELE! Seriously I want a tele but if and when I get one it will be for the Nashville sound. Really who wants a Tele with a Humbucker? I have never understood that?
