Quantify MURDER, PD. You talking abortion?

and how many of these people ballyhooing about how abortion=murder/taking a life=wrong in god's eyes are perfectly ok w the death penalty?

sorry....ya can't have it both ways (well, ya can but ya look a little hypocritical as i see it)

same as the folks who are against abortion (cos it's murder) but will make an exception in the case of rape or incest.....is that NOT murder (as you see it) as well? you're still taking a life.

cue the thumpers who justify the death penaly w ...."well, the bible says an eye for an eye"

Trying to justify ANYTHING with ...."well, the bible says..." is a non-starter anyway.

And I am pro-death penalty. (It's just better to kill them when they need to be killed OR WORSE.)

(I'd be barbequing them night and day and then feeding remains back to the next asshole to hit the hot seat. Talk about a drop in the crime rate, it would plummet considering the fact that if you do something bad enough, I believe your human rights should be completely removed. We could go back to testing everything on death row people instead of animals as well. I bet the animals would be happy about that too.)

...and let's bring back the Inquisition, Torquemada. Sheesh!

And everyone showed up at church on Sunday..or else. lol

i go back and forth on the death penalty. what with evidence being overturned and sentences being commuted thanks to more recent improvements in DNA testing. but then you have the worst offenders who plead guilty and admit to some heinous crime(s) who i think would be worthy of being executed.

as for a death penalty being any kind of deterrent....nah, so many murders are committed by folks that aren't exactly great thinkers, and many are crimes of passion that happen in the heat of the moment where rational thought is not involved.

People aren't afraid of the Death Penalty.
Mainly, because they don't believe they'll get caught in the first place.
But, also, because they can drag it out ad infinitum in the appeals process.
But, lots of folks are terrified of Life Sentences without parole.
Timothy McVeigh said so himself.

I'd rather be executed than imprisoned for life.

It's a different type of death, one of the soul.

(just shoot me, it's more humane)

No boarders? Gay is oK? There must be free beer everywhere you play. I don't hate gays. Gays have the right to vote. That's perfectly well. Vote for a president that exclusefies specific rights to the unrighteous to make them happy-well, all of us are unrighteous one way or another. No one is without sin. Even putting it on the ballot is rude and condescending. Let's just say I ran for president and my platform was that you couldn't prosecute anyone for anything they did while under the influence of any mind altering drug. Up for that? Hang your crosses upside down in another country. This one was founded on Christianity, (religious freedom).

As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Muslim] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries. ~ The Treaty of Tripoli (June 10, 1797)

It was submitted to the Senate by President John Adams, receiving ratification unanimously from the U.S. Senate on June 7, 1797 and signed by Adams.

There you go with your pesky facts Mike. "We are not going to make this election about fact checking".
