Yes, it would be quite funny and pathetic if it wasn't so true! And if you aren't aware of the Mormon beliefs don't blame me, he was your candidate. America dodged a bullet big time.

I believe Michigan was right around 54% Obama.
I guess that qualifies as "most people", but it didn't go down as you would paint it.
Lots of irrationals in your own back yard.

Michigan has traditionally been a blue state because of the autos but that has been less true recently; we now have a Republican governor, and quite a few Republicans live here as you noted (comprised of some rich people, and the rest are lower class people who moved up here to work at the auto plants years ago). A good Republican candidate would have given Obama a decent challenge, but that didn't happen.

Ron Paul could've cleaned Obama's clock if given the chance. :D

I agree Mike, however without the support of the Republican base he didn't have a chance. Most Republicans (like Haley) wrote him off as a kook and a spoiler; like Romney couldn't spoil his chances himself.

Another dumbass reason Jimmy "because he is Mormon". I don't guess you saw the post from me some time back about me joining the "Church Of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints" did you Jimmy? Don't tell me about Mormons I held a priesthood in that church! They are some really good folks! It was during my younger years while searching for truth! Any of you that think it is a cult or bad religion should do a little research before running them down! We dodged the bullet Blah Blah Blah! What a dumbass!

I agree with you on this one Mike problem is, both parties were to busy making him out to be a cook. So he didn't have a chance and would have done nothing but diluted any chance of getting Obummer out! In hindsight the Dems. ran a lot better campaign and had color on their side.

The difference between religions and cults is the amount of real estate they own. That is about it.

Well the state I'm currently stuck in hasn't voted Blue since the 60's, so I took the liberty to write in Ron Paul, then did what damage I could at the state and local level.
I also voted to keep any women magistrates and No to any guys, except one.
