evening all...

i was going through some old audio of mine and i found this old live cover i did with a very old band of mine (serotona) it was a midweek(i think) gig with about 60/70 people and we just recorded through the desk....no frills but the sound guy goes crazy at the end(he told us he just got so "into it" he couldnt help himself)..you will hear the pans...

anyway....here it is ..and believe me i know everthing that is wrong with it..like most of my real old stuff i find myself torn between pride and shame when i hear it but im sure its like that for everyone...

so this is what we used to close the set with..and it always went down well...check my profile and listen to paint it black..if nothing else it rocks

Yeah, he went a little crazy with the pans. LOL

Might have sounded cool live though?

What's unforgiveable is cutting out the crowd reaction!

Shame on you!

Good cover though. I'm sure it rocked them out live!

Totally relate there. So much pride and shame on so many live and studio tracks. Not bad especially for live. On another note I am hooked on all 3 of your other tracks. I have been walking around singing Lasurus Syndrome for days. I keep going back to your profile for that one specifically. It is my favorite song right now! What is the first and second instrument? I assume a synth? Your harmonies are great the main melody of the verses is a great hook. I like the ease of your voice on it. The bass player is tasty too. i like the stops too. The change feels natural too.

cheers guys thanks for the positive comments...as i said it was a long time ago but it captures the raw energy that my old band had, when everything was fun,etc....

and craig i totaly understand about losing the crowed reaction but the thing was at the time i was by no means a wisard with wave lab..
so when i croped the raw wave..i didnt listen to the finishing point i just looked at it on the screen so when the wave stoped i just hit crop apply
and that was that....a novice mistake but things like that happen.

and too neanderpaul..cheers for all the kudos amigo it means alot when someone whos work i admire likes my stuff....lasarus is just two accoustic guitar tracks(and one guitar track reversed on the intro),bass(bass player from decadence fantastic player),drum machine and the intro bells was just thrown down on the keys through an f/x unit.....and a few vocal tracks.
i went for the less is more type of thing and just let the vocal melody carry the whole tune..

cheers amigos craig, paul and howlinj
