There is no evidence, or logical reason that random chemicals should mutate into creatures who love, who sacrifice, who have and show mercy, let alone develop tear ducts which work in harmony with emotions and incredibly complex mechanics.

If you want to be angry and bitter as you are, that is your choice. Claiming atheism is a superior way of life rather than trusting the information in a book which has survived ages, and you, and shall continue to survive and thrive for people who see its wisdom and power, is man-made reasoning of epic proportions.

It's not random, it's not random oh for the love of all things it's NOT RANDOM. There IS evidence, it IS logical. You guys bleat all day about this thousands year old piece of literature which was written in dozens of different places by dozens of different people and compiled as a moral blueprint for life because, let's face it, they needed to scare people into behaving themselves. It's by turns beautiful and utterly profane, contains protagonists of highly questionable character (read the Old Testament, really READ it) and could never be taken literally because for every highly moral passage anyone cares to quote you could find five that extol murder, vice and just generally being massively intolerant to the point of homicide. It IS a great read but I'd never let my kids near it because the content is totally inappropriate for youngsters!

Anyhow, my point is that while I approve completely of your choice to follow whatever religion you chose I would ask that, before you throw your book in my face, you read all of mine and educate yourself. Grab any college text on evolution you care to find. Read Richard Dawkins. Delve deep into the science of it, don't just skim the surface, really try to understand my point of view and then by all means claim it lacks evidence and logic but at least READ before you claim this. It won't convert you, it won't change your mind and I would never want it to. Your beliefs are yours and yours alone but being told by a Christian that evolution lacks evidence or logic when you believe in an unseen deity that, if you seek proof, will conveniently condemn you kinda blows me away.

Well that was fun :)

The best argument I ever heard from a Christian was that evolution was part of Gods plan. Solves ALL these arguments on the spot.

I friggin hate these bastards that shove their faces into mine through the big screen TV in order to lie to me as if I believe one word they say. The lies lies lies. At times we had 4-6 lie-a-thons at every commercial break. Those bastards are crawling our of the wood work around here. On all levels.

If people cared about their freedom, enough of them, then I know who won. If they don't and if they want politicians telling them when to sh*t and what color, I'll know who won. And when the lights go out, and the energy comes to a stand still I'll know this bastard is still doing his job even after he's long gone.. No matter who wins.

I'm going to watch movies on my big screen for a week after the election. When it's over it's over. Not a thing I could ever do to change that... so whatever will be will be.. I just don't give a crap enough about it at this point to even bother trying to find out the results. I'm sure there will be lawsuits out the ying yang for at least a few weeks, and even months if it is really close. They just won't be buggin me anymore.

If someone comes to arrest me for being a Christian or for being politically outspoken for the wrong party, I'll know who won. If not, I don't care. If Romney wins, we will have a few more years of freedom, but enough damage has already been done by this regime to push us over the cliff a dozen times already. So if they don't knock on my door, I'll know it'll be safe to go outside .........maybe. :)

Calm down guys,,,, This country, Our country, is in far worse shape than anyone understands. This election is just a referendum on the direction we go. Don't take that last statement lightly. Most of you won't understand,,, and just ridicule me.

All of this has been done before, many, many times. All the attempts have lead to failure,,, HISTORY. You go look it up.

I don't give a damn about Obama,, I don't give a damn about Romney.
Choice of less or lesser,,,,,
What pisses me off the most is the corruption that runs rampant at every government level. All eyes have been taught to focus on the evil corporations. Well the evil, corrupt corporations have learned to dance with all the evil corrupt politicians. Chicken or the Egg?

Doesn't any one have values that include tolerance and self responsibility?

If we don't remember these,,, Then America,,,,, will Die.

let me simplify it for you, GLEENNY, I know you've had a rough past week or two, and you are somewhat mentally aloof from the trauma you have experienced...

from ecommercebytes.com

Gasoline is hard to come by in some parts of New York and New Jersey in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Demand is high - used not only to power motor vehicles, it's used to power generators for those without electricity, and the gas shortage is making headlines.

So New York hustlers took to Craigslist to advertise high-priced gas. $50 for a gas can; $100 for 5 gallons of gas. One seller was far more "reasonable" - $10 a gallon for gas, 120 gallons total.

Buyers also advertised on the popular online classified site - "Gas Wanted gallon will pay double," read one listing under "items wanted."

Posters on Reddit questioned the legality of the sales and the potential for scams. "People have been seen siphoning gas from cars. I wonder if this is one of em," said one. "Id pay 20 a gallon, im just worried its watered down or something," wrote another.

NO DUDE,,, You don't have a clue about what you are talking about,,

Least of all my mental condition or how aloof I am. Actually I haven't had this much fun in years. Tired, worn down, trauma,,,,,,, YOU ARE KIDDING???????

As far as the gas,,,, If you are that desperate, you are a person of extreme stupidity. What more can be said?

After the storm, the cool thing is that civilization stopped for a moment.
No street lights glaring in my eyes,,,, I could see the stars again.
No screeching car tires, only the sound of raccoons scurrying in the woods and night owls flying through the trees.
No TVs blaring out political ads,,, Only the sound of trees breathing a sigh of relief as the wind subsided.
I could go on and on,,,,
But this magic was broken, when the sound of the first generator was started up.

But,,,, For a moment,,,,, I was free.
