Just got back I-NET.
2 major food groups still holding, Beer is not running out, and meat supplies are still good. Plenty of squirrels and stray cats. (great stir fry).

Scattergun always accessible and loaded. Looting has started.

Cops are covering major intersections so stupid people don't cause accidents. No police to "protect the innocent" away from intersections.

Gas lines making the roads more impassible than all the trees and power lines. Blocking major roads. Media is Hyping when another station receives a tanker. It's worse than drugs.

Boilers underwater, rewire, driving a truck into wire down areas, desperate people,(cold), No coffee lines.

Guns drawn for gas, fights, boats in peoples living rooms, FEMA falling down, National GUARD that doesn't have a clue,,,,

It's a good thing that I believe in and love our country. I see this and all I see is a government that is really only seeking control.

ALL THE WHILE LOSING IT!

I'm tired, but this week was actually fun,,, I love watching people impale themselves on their own sword of stupidity.

Sad, this little challenge is over. :)ALMOST.

OH I forgot to mention,,, Seems like nobody has any money left to protect themselves against something like this.

I have some wealthy customers, they don't need any government help.

I blew through a couple thousand bucks in parts this week. I am not counting on getting repaid. FEMA.

I don't know what to tell people,, Cold, Hungry,Tired,,,,,
Pretty sad.

Glen I have been through EXACTLY the same thing 4 times only 10 times worse. Thats why it bothers me so much what ya'll are going through. Only folks that have lived the suffering understand. Here After a hurricane goes through instead of cold hungry and tired its HOTTER than TEN THOUSAND MUTHER PHUKERS and 100% humidity! its Hot, tired and hungry. I know it is hard to believe as it feels like you are half way thru a marathon. It does get back to normal and after a while it is all just a bad memory! The up side if there is one is a storm like that gets a lot of people working again.

...Glenny it is wonderful to get your updates ... very real and no nonsense. Thank You. Fisherman Bob ... excellent observation. All this is only the beginning and demonstrates the useless expenditure on "HomeLand Security" and what a joke it truly is ... a sick and a twisted joke. It is no fun to be cold or hot and humid for that matter. Although I would take Hot and Humid over cold any time.

The banks apparently are only "letting" customers take out 100 dollars at a go ? It is your money which we make interest on and it is an emergency so you can only have a small portion of it as we know that you need it badly ... stinks of government style management does it not ?

Be careful Glenn and keep up being who and what you are.

...JCP61 ...my thoughts to you and your daughters and their friends/families. I can only imagine what you must be feeling at the moment. My apologies for being so inconsiderate and combative on here with you these past couple days and Posts...I had no idea.

It is a serious situation and I admire your control considering the frustration involved. I wish you and your Daughters only only the best.

yeah, pretty "sad" alright.

wow....leave it to you to take something like this to blow your own horn and use as an opportunity to look down your nose at those less fortunate. 1000's have lost their homes, their vehicles, and have been living w/o services. and what ...something like 160 DEAD.

but please...go on and share your exploits of generosity and heroics. and tell us all how you've seen worse storms.

what kind of self serving, opportunistic dipshit uses other's misfortune as an op to get up on their soapbox and spew their anti gov't drivel?

guess we're all impressed how prepared YOU were ...keeping a cpl of extra pairs of tights and capes at the ready.

DUDE, the mayor of NYC was going to run the NY marathon because it brought in TAX MONEY. Another F'ing Politician that really is out of touch with reality. He was going to bring in major generators to power TENTS for JUDGES, that could have been more useful in Staten Island That basically got wiped OUT.
No concept of reality.

The biggest problem is not the NYC marathon,,, It IS STUPIDITY. It is people believing the government will keep them safe... People like you have have so bought into this idea it is scary, so wrong, and this goes way beyond domestic issues. al-queda loves this shiit , because while we submit to strip searches to get on a plane, they see how weak the government is, people who depend on the LAW to maintain their way of life, DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

Now I'm going to bounce this to another post because non union workers were being turned away, people that just came to help. People that just came to put the power back on for cold, shell shocked, people.

Thanks for the attempt to make me feel bad Planet Jerk.

This only makes me understand what hurricane katrina did to New Orleans.
That was survival, even a year later.
Any way we have people, dumpster diving for food, tankers being, being guarded against the legions of people following them to the next station to have a supply. They just lifted the Jones law that forbids tankers to make direct dumps to make sure taxes are collected. Power is coming back, the crews are all doing the best they can. Towns are starting to be able to get trucks in to remove the major debris. (the biggest problem is the height of a truck compared to a car, you have to look up and measure to avoid power lines and ripping some ones service off their house. I had some oil deliveries, what a bitch on the back streets.. People are still being stupid about throwing away perfectly good food,, Now it is sitting in garbage cans that won't get picked up. People are fighting on gas lines. People are blocking major roads waiting for gas. This is LIKE,, MAD MAX. People are in panic mode and being as civil as (I was going to say PLANET JERK, but I won't)
Just a few problems with boilers and getting people a bit of heat.
Generators and modern computer chipped equipment don't work that well.
Boilers that have been completely under water don't work that well.
Customers that have no electric have to realize the need for a power supply.
Oil fired boilers don't run well, when you are out of oil.
This stupid list goes on and on.
Oh well let me go eat and see what else comes in. I'm going to try and get some self serving ingenuous, non government controlled sleep.

Staten Island needs some severe help. Keep them in your prayers.

I just saw a pretty good fist fight at the pumps.

I felt bad for the one guy because he was getting fuct up.
I yelled to him, not to drop his hands below his jaw.

Then they both yelled at me, so I laughed and sat down and watched them both fight for another couple minutes and then the cops came.

The one cop was unimpressed by the fact that I claimed to try to break it up, until they both told him that I did. I then piped in and told him that if 2 grown men want to duke it out, it wasn't any of my business.

Long story short, they both got carted away but exchanged hugs like prize fighters that went the distance.

That was the best entertainment I've had in months and I still didn't get any gas yet. LOLOLOLOL
