Nice job with the music. The video...ehh... Better to just capture a live performance, or make an attempt to synch... You guys are much much better than that video production reflects... Btw who did the animated one and what tools did they use?

One more, Nowhere Man: http://youtu.be/PiBrdq5o5k4

Until we get a live gig, we've got to make do!

The Come Together video is an authentic EMI product - they'll probably shut us down.

Wow Mike! Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor! I can tell you guys have worked very hard on those vocals. Hell all of it! Ya'll should make some VERY good money gigging if you can get anywhere close to these recordings! hopefully the lead singer can keep up I believe he can! Why is it the older I get the more I like the Beatles after ALL THESE YEARS? Why do I like GOLF? I wouldn't even attempt to play that game But DAMN IT I sure like to watch a good golfer hit that ball?

Thanks for the comments. We need another 10+ songs then we've got a full night's worth - hey, its been 5 months since I joined, so we should be that far, but with only 1 practice a week it takes time. Now how do we get out name out to club managers?

Mike If I were you I would put together a promo pak. I used to put it on a C.D. picture contact info everything. One thing to keep in mind is how short the attention span is of these club owners/managers. Our demo has about 15 or 20 songs. Each song clip is 20 seconds long a few may be 30 seconds at most. We picked out the most dynamic parts of the songs for the most part. That is all a band should have the total thing should last no more than about 5 min. Basically if I were you I would showcase the vocal harmony, song selection, guitar virtuosity. I put the promos on c.d. and drove around dropping them off at every venue that had live music. You would be surprized how many will call back. Usually I would call ahead and find out the name of the person booking bands and what time is convenient for me to drop by and have a VERY QUICK face to face. The more understanding you are to how busy that person is the more it will work in your favor! There is no doubt once you guys get out there you will be in demand! Good luck!

Hey I'm no expert, but maybe another way would be to find a popular act in town, who gigs at the better clubs in town and ask them if you can open for them? Just a thought.

Good job on the promo video Mike. I'm glad you guys don't dress up or try to look like The Beatles.

Getting work for a tribute band is a little different than a regular cover band; most clubs that have cover bands want a band that plays a variety. Casinos, corporate and private parties and venues that currently have tribute bands are your best bets. A DVD of your band playing live would be great too.
