I have found this extremely informative. Both the historical, philosophical, and legal dimensions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.

Every American should see this 58:00 film.

From my limited standpoint the only possible fault I found was a chart around 52:00 in.

For those who want to say this film is biased, go ahead. If you want to call it propaganda, knock yourself out. If you want to call it skewed and misleading, go for it. Just know there are millions of Americans willing to stand up and stand back this Socialism from this growing 1984 government.

It ain't over till it's over.

I'll bet the large sections, presently blank pages, will be filled with all manner of wonderful things to help us live our lives in peace and in good health. :)

I will try to watch it tomorrow, and will make every attempt possible to look at the facts objectively. If I see non-facts or hyperbole, I will post about it, but on the other side, if I see factual and informative info, I will point that out too.

I really have a hard time taking the tea party seriously , as their primary funding comes from 'Americans for Prosperity' (AFP), which is primarily funded by the Koch brothers.. and everyone should know by now about their uber-libertarian approach to deregulating america so they can profit without restrictions, like having to properly dispose that toxic waste..

Kramerguy, the Tea Party is not a political party, of course, and Tea Party Patriots are made up of hundreds of groups around the nation with their only actual connection being their political philosophy. Saying the Tea Party is backed by the Koch brothers is very open-ended. What does that, what can that actually mean? The Kotch brothers are Libertarians. While the TPP are made up mostly of political conservatives, there are also libertarians and even some liberal Democrats who are tired of out of control politicians and soaring taxes which effect small business, the engine of the economy.

No one controls the TPP. There is nothing to control, which has been a major discussion within it since it began.

All I read about the Kotch brothers comes from far left information sources. Do you have info from sources not so biased? Logically, if they have broken all kinds of laws, as I have read, how is it a totally liberal administration has not brought them down? They don't mind bringing lawsuits against Arizona. How are the Koch brothers getting away with lawbreaking when I read they are waging war against Obama? Good. Let them wage war against the Marxist. Nobody in Congress is.

I find liberals so hypocritical (I am not saying you are a liberal) because they vilify the wealthy with the same money that makes them and their businesses wealthy. You'd think the only wealthy people in America were Republicans and/ or Conservatives.

The Koch brothers fight against man-made global warming rhetoric. Good. Someone needs to. The issue of the EPA will always be a two-edged sword. Just depends on which party is in control of DC in any given cycle. But overall the EPA has wreaked havoc all across America with small businesses, and individual municipalities, even entire regions. I am surprised it has not brought about civil unrest before this. The County Sheriff's Movement is building to fight back. God bless them. The EPA is little more than a globalist seizure of private citizen or state's property rights one regulation at a time.

I cannot prove this, but I will state it anyway. If you lined up all the millions of citizens involved in TP groups and asked them who the Koch brothers were most would not know, or know very little. That is the whole point of the movement. There are no central figureheads.

If you find anything erroneous about the film, certainly, post it.

The tea party "grouped" as a stand-alone entity receives almost all it's funding from AFP, which is owned by the Koch brothers. It's one degree of separation that you can find the proof on 1000 different websites. It's pretty straight forward information that yes, the liberal sites state it clearly, and the right-wing sites just don't print it and ignore it, as they all benefit from the Koch brothers political efforts.

The movie about the koch brothers- In an interview, the producer of the movie talks about how teams of very high-powered lawyers did everything in their power to try to stop the movie from being made. He had to hire 5 different teams of fact-checkers to check each others facts and make sure not one item in the movie had even the most remote possibility of being challenged as inaccurate, false, or even exaggerated.

To date, there has not been a single filing whatsoever in court about anything in that movie.

I can't think of a better source than that. The movie explains everything and also takes painful steps to show the proof of it's claims.

Here's a short video of Rachel Maddow explaining in simple terms the relationship between Koch and the AFP >> tea party.

http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/_news/2010/ ... eally?lite

Here's the wiki pages and excerpts for the tea party and AFP

Tea Party:

Influence of Koch Industries
Main article: Political activities of the Koch family
In an August 30, 2010, article in The New Yorker, Jane Mayer said that the billionaire brothers David H. Koch and Charles G. Koch and Koch Industries are providing financial and organizational support to the Tea Party movement through Americans for Prosperity, which David founded.[203][204] The AFP's "Hot Air Tour" was organized to fight against taxes on carbon use and the activation of a cap and trade program.[205] In 1984, David Koch also founded Citizens for a Sound Economy,[206] part of which became FreedomWorks in a 2004 split,[undue weight? – discuss] another group that organized and supports the movement.[207] Koch Industries issued a press release stating that the Kochs have "no ties to and have never given money to FreedomWorks".[208] Former ambassador Christopher Meyer writes in the Daily Mail that the Tea Party movement is a mix of "grassroots populism, professional conservative politics, and big money", the last supplied in part by Charles and David Koch.[209] Jane Mayer says that the Koch brothers' political involvement with the Tea Party has been so secretive that she labels it "covert".[210][dubious – discuss]

AFP:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americans_for_Prosperity
AFP was founded in 2004 when Citizens for a Sound Economy (CSE) split into FreedomWorks (formerly Citizens for a Sound Economy) and the Americans for Prosperity Foundation (formerly the Citizens for a Sound Economy Foundation). Dick Armey, who had become chair of CSE in 2003 after retiring from Congress,[5] remained chairman of FreedomWorks, while David H. Koch remained chairman of the AFP Foundation. Like CSE, AFP was founded with the support of David H. Koch and Charles G. Koch, both of Koch Industries.[6][7][8]

10 Shocking Facts on the Kochs

1. Koch Industries, which the brothers own, is one of the top ten polluters in the United States -- which perhaps explains why the Kochs have given $60 million to climate denial groups between 1997 and 2010.

2. The Kochs are the oil and gas industry's biggest donors to the congressional committee with oversight of the hazardous Keystone XL oil pipeline. They and their employees gave more than $300,000 to members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee in 2010 alone.

3. From 1998-2008, Koch-controlled foundations gave more than $196 million to organizations that favor polices that would financially enrich the two brothers. In addition, Koch Industries spent $50 million on lobbying and some $8 million in PAC contributions.

4. The Koch fortune has its origins in engineering contracts with Joseph Stalin's Soviet Union.

5. The Kochs are suing to take over the Cato Institute, which has accused the Kochs of attempting to destroy the group's identity as an independent, libertarian think and align it more closely with a partisan agenda.

6. A Huffington Post source who was at a three-day retreat of conservative billionaires said the Koch brothers pledged to donate $60 million to defeat President Obama in 2012 and produce pledges of $40 million more from others at the retreat.

7. Since 2000, the Kochs have collected almost $100 million in government contracts, mostly from the Department of Defense.

8. Koch Industries has an annual production capacity of 2.2 billion pounds of the carcinogen formaldehyde. The company has worked to keep it from being classified as a carcinogen even though David Koch is a prostate cancer survivor.

9. The Koch brothers' combined fortune of roughly $50 billion is exceeded only by that of Bill Gates in the United States.

10. The Senate Select Committee on Indian Affairs accused Koch Oil of scheming to steal $31 million of crude oil from Native Americans. Although the company claimed it was accidental, a former executive in this operation said Charles Koch had known about it and had responded to the overages by saying, "I want my fair share, and that's all of it."

Hmm. And then there's Warren Buffet, and other liberal billionaires supporting Progressives and the Dem party. Not to mention good ol' George Soros and his influence in America. Not to mention Islamic, Muslim Brotherhood billionaires visiting the WH regularly.

I know money is the root of all evil. But I see the Koch brothers as no better or worse than any billionaires and all the tentacles they stretch out beyond their businesses into politics.

Koch, Buffet, Trump, Rothschilds, etc., etc., etc. world bankers, the federql reserve ... on and on and on it goes.

The point is the Koch brothers have no say so amongst those millions who just want to see limited government, fair taxation, strong military, non-porous borders, and Constitutional laws.

I think the reason I'm more focused on the koch brothers is simply because they are the ones doing most of the polluting while making the greatest investments in changing policy to allow even more.

They have saturated local and state politics as well. They are evil men.

Warren Buffet is no saint either, but at least he's honest about his gluttony, and has even stated he would be happy to pay pre-bush tax rates on all of his income.

I started watching the movie, gonna get back to it now, will post later on my thoughts.

You are a good socialist Kramer.

How the helll did you manage to turn this around so quickly and point blame in a different direction

This about the sovereignty of the individual in America. If you truly feel it should be the other way around,,, then please buy a one way ticket to Europe.

NOT IN THIS COUNTRY. Only way, will be over a lot of dead bodies!

I'm sure I'd fit the definition of a Tea Party Patriot. I don't know anything about the Koch brothers, but if what you're saying about them is right, then I say "Praise God" for men who put their money into a righteous cause!

The liberal "heroes" are putting billions into wicked causes. MOST of that comes right out my pocket in the form of taxes. Why is it not fair for someone who has the means to oppose them?

It's so damned hypocritical. The Occupy movement hires worthless miscreants off the streets and pays them to go start anarchy. Those idiots don't even know what they are "for", nor do they know that they've been bought and paid for by the very people they are "against". They spew socialist propaganda and anarchy, piss on the streets, and leaves piles of garbage. Such good environmentalists!

On the other hand, no one pays TP Patriots to go to a rally. They hold civil meetings to discuss real issues and then clean up before they leave. They allow for disagreement and they DO NOT allow racism or violence within their ranks to go unopposed.

They are not government funded or supported, unlike the Occupy/GayPride/EarthDay liberals.
