Maybe it just took time to get through the pipeline?

But this seemed to work for me. If you are missing your avatar cause you changed your main profile pic, try this...

Click these links on your main profile page:

My Account - Account Options - Set Up Forum Information - Update

Could have been coincidence, but it worked for me and thought I'd share if you were having avatar issues as well.

Wow, thanks brother. Very honored.

Wait till we get some money (should be in the next few months) so we can begin recording the stuff we are working on now. It's truly badass, if I do say so myself. We've come a long way since recording the stuff posted right now. We had limited funds and some of our rockin' stuff had to be set aside for doing a few projects like "Taylor's Song" which we wrote for a 6 year old girl with brain cancer, who is fighting for her life, to bring attention to her cause.

We don't in any way, regret setting the band's needs aside for the greater good of a little girl, but we are VERY excited about recording some of the other songs we have under wraps.

Thanks again. That certainly made my night brother!

Now, if I could only figure out whether Southern Rock is a valid genre of music or not???? Where's my dictionary???!!!!

LMAO!!!

Lol. By the way, I do not remember if I said this before or not, but I like your avatar Craig Maxim. It is a cool image.

In my opinion, Southern Rock is a genre, burn the dictionaries! Lmao.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Thanks.

The photo was taken by some friends of ours who own a graphics company. She's working on a press kit for us, and also a professional website.

I took that picture and cut and pasted the new guitarist we got to get him in it. LOL

I did a pretty good job actually, but this Sunday we are taking more promo shots with her, since there are five of us in the band now.

Lol, yeah you did a good job, I did not even realize it was edited. It is always good to have a professional photographer. I use to want to offer the service, but I do not possess the amenities to do professional work, nor the right knowledge. I am a good shot with a camera though and have a strong eye. I use to take pictures for my mother when she would cater desserts.

Good luck with the band!

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

I tried changning my avatar a while back and it didn't work, I had to reset it to the original picture and it started showing up again, and I did the update thing. Might try again, I wouldn't mind having a different one there now and then...

By the way if you want to see a couple more pics otherthan the ones on my profile, I finally got off my lazy butt and set up a photobucket account, have a few onstage pics and one of the whole rig, a cooll shot of the black tele with one of my crazy caps, and so forth.

If this doesn't work I'll have to post individual links, but here's the main album

Craig:

Cool pic there, I like it better than the original one, and good luck on the recording, one of these days I'll have to bite the bullet and let some of these songs load so I can listen to some of the musicians on here. Dialup really sucks sometimes...30 minutes for a song to load and I can't do anything else it slows down so much...

Nice pics brother!

Is that a fish trying to eat your microphone or was I hallucinating? LOL

And wow, you're multi-talented. I saw...

Singer
Guitar Player
Steel Guitar
Slide Guitar
Saxophone???

And what was that? 8 guitars on that rack?

Are they all yours? You bring ALL of them to gigs?

Yep, sax too. Been playing sax since 1967 when I was in junior high school, didn't have one for around 15 years then my brother found an old Conn tenor really cheap and giot it for me. It's no longer playable, sounded like crap anyway, the one in the pics is a mid 70's King Cleveland alto, great sounding horn, I love it. Got it cheap at a pawn shop and did a few repairs, it works great now.

7 guitars on the rack, plus a lap steel. (1945-47 Electromuse) All are mine except the Oscar Schmidt 335 copy on a separate stand to the left, it belongs to a close friend, that was the 2nd time it had been played, he wanted to hear it onstage and see how it sounded. I was surprised what a good guitar it was for the price, on sale for $99 at musician's friend, usually $150 I think, still not bad at all. Plays and sounds good, well made too. I'm thinking about getting one myself.

The rack holds 7 guitars total, I fill it for gigs. I bring 6 electrics, the acoustic and the lap steel, which sits on a keyboard stand so I can play it without taking the guitar off then go back to regular guitar in the same song. A few tuned to standard tuning so I can grab another one when I beat a guitar out of tune, which is not often more than about 3 or 4 songs, 2 songs if the A/C comes on and changes the temp a couple of degrees. (only a problem if I'm directly under the vent, and then the guitars are usually out of the line of fire) A couple are also in open tunings and one in drop D so I don't have to retune onstage, I hate doing that. Plus I want the sound of a certain guitar for some songs. Nothing but the strat sounds right for some songs, the Peavey Patriot is perfect for others, still other times I want humbuckers so I bring them all. Plus I don't have to retune onstage between songs.

The fish is the ever elusive audio trout. I found it in the toy section of a resale shop in Texas and thought it would be perfect as a stage prop for my mic. It's been with me for 15 years, one of a very few known specimens in captivity.

Hey Craig Maxim, not to be off topic, but I was looking at the bulletin you placed on MySpace about the meanest mom in the world, lol. And your bands music started playing, and it started playing the song "Wearing Down." Wow, great song man. Is it an original? Very good guitar parts (Awesome soloing!), and awesome vocals. I like the song a lot.

Very nice job, go Southern Mischief!

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
