As far as I know, every single person on the planet has free-will, so what makes you different? Mostly nothing, except that so many have traded their very freewill along with their liberty for the "security" of living in a cage you call America. Yeah, build walls around the borders, cage yourself in even more. The worst part is that you are so propagandized that you have no idea your very beliefs have been twisted to their will. Christians have one Master, and we do not mind being under His authority. Everyone is under a master. No one is a free agent in that regard.

Some see this as war between those who love freedom and the ignorant who are willing to allow the ruling class to make the them no more than slaves to support their lavish lifestyles.

I see it as spiritual warfare made manifest to those with eyes to see and ears to hear. The latter have a clear view of what is truly happening to us.

On our economic situation, I find it hard to accept that the gov uses me as thier credit card. Obama tool office the debt was 11 Trillion, now its 16 Trillion, thats something like $54,000 for each man woman and child in the US.

The video brought to light to me that we have constantly over my adult life time, been able to produce enough GDP to overcome most things, but now we have stagnated, we cant keep up the growth, some sort of implosion will come from that, we have mined the easy energy resources to the point that moving forward will cost a lot of money, and then think of food, ag has made huge gains in production, but at some point there is a limit. And then the most important thing to all of our lives is water. If the population of the world doubles, will there be enough water?

JW123, I believe you misunderstood my post. My point was not that believers are waiting around for some miracle to take them out of here (well, some are, others are not, but that's theology). My post had to simply do with actual physical prep work people can and should do to get ready for an actual crisis coming. A crisis which many have seen coming for more than a century.

BTW way, having been in Texas and the bread basket of the nation, and told by people living there the government tells oil drillers to stop, and they tell farmers not to grow to control market forces, which tells me there is energy and food plenty. Politicians need to get out of the way.

As far as water, yes. Just did research on aquifers in Texas, as I am considering moving there. The Trinity aquifer is 550' below normal. Wells are now being drilled to 1000-1200' at $42 a foot to hit good water. And still Texas is inviting tens of thousands in every year. Municipalities are now getting water from more shallow aquifers and treating the water which is not as good in quality. I had a local guy, in his 40s tell me in his lifetime water is going to become a serious issue in North central Texas.

I have read the same, 20 years ago, for other places in the South West.

Wars will be fought over water. I have no doubt.

Kramerguy, I freely admit to just sailing along all my life and not paying attention to what was happening in my nation, for various reasons. Perhaps that has been the circumstance of most Americans my age (50s).

Now, I see, am totally disgusted, but what can be done? It is not about muskets and cannons anymore. If millions would storm the gates, as in Communist Europe in the late 80s, sure, something could be done. Short of that, depending on elections? Forget that. The problems are systemic. Nothing in politics today will do anything but make matters worse. Too many forces holding hands together which the average American has no say in.

I see the Tea Party as a hopeful thing, and yet they were quickly co-opted by party forces and have become somewhat moot, though they still grow and will play a part in this election. But Washington DC is a hell hole with few patriots in its citizenry and little short of revolution of maximum impact will change anything there.

As far as survival: Should the food chain stop for a while I'm heading to the country to ravage the farms. (just kidding) There will probably be lines from the city along the highways to every farm around when people are going hungry. City folk think that's where food lives. Big Brother has already made sure that we can't get food without them during such a crisis. There will be government operators making sure you aren't hording food. I'm sure your neighbors will rat you out if you don't look hungry enough. Tyrants always take total control.

As far as hording Gold or precious metals for survival. People should be aware that such regimes collect it all. At least that is the way it has always been done before. Tyrants don't give a crap about human life.

I am quite sure that in an uprising the regime will give the death penalty to anyone who is hording food or precious metals. It has always been that way.
