he would encourage training and would fund college education grants and loans rather than slash Federal funds going towards education? think of the poor parents that have college age children as bright as Steve Jobs or Bill Gates that will not be able to send their genius children to college due to lack of money, and now they will not even be able to get student loans if Romney and Eddie Munster get their way.. think of the jobs Bill Gates created..

Reading up on Romney he created around 90,000 jobs in the private sector, he started Bain Capital from a small office with one person and built it into one of the biggest investment firms in the nation.

When he was gov he didnt take a salary, when he ran the Olympics he didnt take a salary, and it was in a mess when he got in there.

As gov he dealt with partisanship and bridged the gap.

I really dont understand why anybody wants Obama, if you are middle class he is going to kill you long term.

I would rather have someone like Romney, who made himself, and made a fortune on his own run this country than Obama. He hasnt done anything positive from where I sit, my cost of doing business, my taxes I pay, everything have gone up since he got in office.

I guess some folks just want to depend on welfare, but if the people that have money decide to pull up roots and leave this country, there wont be anyone left to fund the people that are left.

Hes had 4 freakin years, and I cant see one thing he can honestly say is better for me.

Things Obama has done that affected me directly and positively:

1) Increased the benefit period for unemployment insurance. I lost my job in November 2008; I was unemployed until May 2009. I received unemployment compensation for the entire period, and even though it's not much, it helped me get by until I got my new job. Thanks Mr. President!

2) Passed healthcare reform. Even though I did not benefit from this directly, I do know what it is like to pay COBRA to maintain insurance and it ain't cheap. Thanks Mr. President!

3) Waived the appraisal requirement for homeowners who wanted to refinance their mortgage. Even though I had a lot of equity in my house, my wife's house was underwater (she owed more than the house was worth). We were able to refinance it and go from a 30 year 6.9% mortgage to a 15 year 4% mortgage. This will save us thousands. Thanks Mr. President!

I can understand if none of these policies helped you, but they did help thousands of your fellow countrymen. The least I can do is defend his policies and vote for him, which is exactly what I intend to do.

Jimmy Im glad Obama helped you out.

He hasnt helped me.

Fair Enough

I dont think either one of them can actually cure our ills, to me our GDP has grown so fast that we cant maintain it no matter what we do, plus weve pretty much mined all of our cheaper energy sources.

Wind and Sun arent the answers, Im on the board of an organiztion that installed both and the government grants are the only way they make sense financially.

But Jimmy there may come a day when the people that use government moneys way outnumber the people who can fund it, and like I said if the people who can fund things decide to leave and go elsewhere, there will be hell to pay in this country. You cant bailout a country if you are broke and this country is broke and I dont see anything Obama is doing as any more than a bandaid.

Nobody's going anywhere John. Even though we've had a rough 10 years this country is still the best in the world. Don't buy into the right's doom and gloom crap, all economic indicators are positive and getting better everyday. GM just announced they are hiring 1,500 for the Tech Center in Warren and 3,000 people at their data center in Detroit. Home prices continue to rise as more people get back to work. IRA's and 401K's have mostly recovered as the stock market continues to do well. The future is bright!

Obama is simply kicking the can down the road, he is spending so much that regardless off who wins in November they are going to have to raise taxes on EVERYONE! Of course the 49% now living off entitlements aren't paying squat so they just want more! It is going to get BAD FOLKS VERY BAD! We have very little time to put a REAL FIX on the deficit issue on our terms. After that we are gonna be like Greece or Spain!

Come on Mark no need to put words in mouth bro.
Of course I don't think folks that have worked hard are not entitled to their SS. The folks on Food stamps, Section 8, medicade, medicare and the fact that a VERY LARGE potion of low income families pay no taxes whatsoever. By the time they take their child deductions, and E.I.C. they actually get money back I know I used to be one of them! Yes when it is all added up the Bottom line is 51% of Americans are paying for 49%.

and if you don't think those 51% are not passing that cost on to the 49% then you are mistaken.. just look at how food price has risen, somebody(the 51%?) are passing the cost on to people who can least afford it, namely your cat food eating retired folks.. sad..

Throwing money at Education only means "paying off Union officials". We've been flushing billions down that toilet bowl for how long now???

Spending on education keeps going up while literacy keeps going down.

It always sounds good on paper and in political ads though. If we make it non-profitable for the unions, we might actually give the profession back to the teachers.

OK so the real sh*t comes out. You have always counted on other people to save your butt when you got canned. You had your ass bailed out by people like me JIMMY,,, Kiss my asss and say THANK YOU!

Say thank you to me again for Cobra,,, It comes out of MY TAX DOLLARS.

As far as your WIFES mortgage, the only reason she was "UNDER WATER" is because she borrowed to much against it to sustain your FUUCKED up LIBERAL VIEWS.

With all your education you are one of the dumbest mother f**k to ever log on. The only thing some one like you will ever understand is when some moron puts a 45 through your brain. IT WON'T BE ME. But you still won't get it. YOU THINK EVERY THING IS FREE OR OWED TO YOU!

IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!!!
