Man (homo sapiens) has been on this planet for many millions of years. And up until just the last few thousand years man has survived by walking and eating whatever he could find, plants and animals. And basically man lived in a confined area, not venturng far until the last ten thousand years. So now, we eat mainly processed food, are completely surrounded by chemicals and compounds that for millions of years didn't exist. We are consuming and breathing countless molecules that for the vast majority of our existence didn't exist. Is it any wonder why we have so many different diseases?
Case in point, I just found out recently I have numerous plant and food allergies. So I was put on a new diet. Today I bought some grape juice. I thought I read the label carefully but when I drank a glass I started sneezing immediately. I missed the fact that it contained nutrasweet. I'm allergic to it!
Bottom line is we are screwing ourselves up. A new theory about one of the causes of breast cancer is that there's a higher incidence in urban areas because there's a higher concentration of tiny pieces of vehicle tires (latex) being breathed in which is causing the cancer.
We've created a cesspool of chemicals that are completely foreign to our bodies. Sad....

...What is man doing to himself and what is he letting be done to himself ....it is called slow kill. Man has not only fouled his nest ...."modern man" that is, but "he" is voting for his own extinction, paying for his own contamination, creating his own demise....

Voting for the same political filth, the same failed policies, enabling the same AntiHumans to experiment, molest, abuse, murder and harvest.

Paying for contamination flouride and other poisons including radiactivity which does not go away, DU ammo and it's usage causing birth defects, disease, allergies, GMO's and other horrendous creations by death dealers such as Monsanto which contaminate and destroy DNA, sterilize and propogate cancers, tumours and lower IQ's.

Crating his own demise by scientifically killing, maiming, experimenting and destroying the skies, the earth, the waters and every living plant and animal upon this planet and worse yet this includes also the spiritual realm as well.

We are all walking Dead and our children are doomed to early death at best. Poisons are the weapons or Cowards.

At the seemingly accelerating rate of autism over the last ten years, anyone care to guess how much time this country has left?
What is it now, 1 in 110 babies born with autism spectrum?
How long until it is 1 in 55? 1 in 40? 1 in...
These children have to survive and grow up - then what?
How is a nation supposed to be ran when the future will be largely unable to function as any type of work force?

If the acceleration is real and continues to gain speed, well then, we have about one generation left. Then we are done.
Forget about 'any' other social or political issue other than that, and just consider that this one thing could render every other problem beyond the scope of solution.

Nutrition is something the majority of Americans are not really keen on. Modern farming increases yields but often at the expense of nutritious food. What farming does not weaken manufacturing "foods" will.

There are places in the world where people eat "real" food and do not have existing illnesses Americans, and other western nations have. And those nations that did not, now do when the fast food chains gain entrance, and "white death," along with it - flour, rice, sugar, salt.

If people will eat real, whole food, which humans were designed to eat many of the illnesses they have can and will be reversed.

As the Bible states, The life is in the blood.

Eat and drink that which fortifies the blood and the body systems will respond as God created them to.

For those who do not believe in creation or a Creator, try it anyway.

The Bible teaches to "eat for strength."

How many actually do? Most eat for taste buds and appetites perverted since youth, or "comfort," using food to deal with stressors in life, or just buying into ad campaigns for what they should or can eat.

It might cost more to eat real food, but the benefits are fairly swift. Especially is this the case with daily illnesses like headaches, colds and flu, joint pains, etc.

If people will learn how their bodies work and cooperate with God's living machinery they can avert a great deal of illness.

Edit - I should add the Bible states the world is waxing old like a garment, and God has a controversy with the nations, and the gig is coming to an end at some point anyway, so we can expect to see more problems develop in all areas if life, including disease.

What Vamp said about lower IQ's (IMO) should be highlighted in giant bold letters. This is a big one-

All the mercury we continue to dump into the air, water, soil... it slowly lowers everyone's IQ's depending on personal exposure and genetic ability to resist (although nobody is immune, just some of us have stronger dna); We are without a doubt becoming a dumber overall nation. Just look at our TV programming for starters.. our music scenes, our education system, all being INTENTIONALLY dumbed down.. flouride in the water, also a toxic waste injected intentionally into our daily lives.

And yes, Bob is right about nutrasweet- it causes brain lesions and leads to early onset Alzheimers, among many other scary things.

We need to move to natural living soon or we're gonna hit a point of total contamination.

I'm slightly is disagreement. Yes we are dispersing chemicals widely.
But a spectral analysis of the polar ice caps reveal that nature does a pretty damn good job herself.

Just sayin

This topic is covering so many different things it is strange.
Vamp, I thank you for your response. The problem is balance against abuse and what is needed to allow the human race to move forward. Move forward we must,,, This mothership is becoming to crowded. Moving on...

One of the things most people don't realize is food is the most powerful DRUG or Essence that we put into our bodies. This is coming from the comment that Drumsinhisheart pointed out. YOU HAVE TO EAT TO BE STRONG!

Funny, I have been exposed to more soot and smoke, and asbestos than any one at ground zero. I don't understand why so many of those brave responders are dying. 50 years of smoking on top of that and by all rights I should be gone. I'm still here and all I can give reason to is that I have always been careful of what I eat. I don't Know,,, You tell me.

Further more the government guidelines , THE PYRAMID is so screwed up people are dying because they are following this crap.
When I'm working hard as an "OLD MAN", I need 6000 (THOUSAND) calories from meat and fats just to sustain muscle and weight.
Warning, when the body goes in to survival mode all sorts of strange things happen. So go ahead and eat those cereals the government says are so good for you.

If any one wants to discuss this further, My Email is on my profile.

Your government is killing you in more ways than you understand.

You make some good point Bob. Most Americans eat primarily packaged, processed, and fast food. We have lost our way and we need to get back to basics. In traveling the world, we Americans look like a herd of elephants walking down the street and we suffer from all kinds of complex illnesses when compared to Europeans, Asians, and South Americans.

A little perspective:
150 years ago the average lifespan of an American male was 41 years, now it is nearly doubled so the record is not all bad. This is mostly due to clean, chlorinated (sanitized) water and antibiotics so chemicals and drugs that kill germs are beneficial.

How do we find our way back?
As others have suggested, if it wasn't food 100 years ago, it's still not food today. If you can buy it through a drive thru, it's not food. Eating healthy means soft drinks, fast food, and packaged/processed foods have to go. Flavorists are so good now they can make an old shoe taste like prime rib. They can make paper pulp taste like ice cream and that is dangerous to our health.

So what to eat?
* Simple ingredients that have been around for 100s of years.
*Whole fruit and vegetables preferably locally grown.
*Whole meats and fish and whole eggs, not burgers. Locally farmed.
*Whole grains and fresh bread from a local bakery.
*100% fruit juice with no additives, water, local micro wine and beer that are not stuffed with preservatives and additives.

These traditional foods are healthy, more satisfying and make you feel better and lose weight over time. Simply choose what you eat wisely.

Johnny I agree with you except for the meat... With all the hormones its bad enough. But even with out the hormones, beef and pork are flat out heart attacks in amber. I highly recommend fish... But with all the mercury out there...gotta wonder... Chicken? If you saw what a chicken goes through before they relieve it of all the torture, it would make you ill...

Now here's the kicker... I been eating meat and its only very recently that I have begun to realize ..Younger folks can get away with it for a while...But when yo break 50, meat turns into prion and free radical.... Cancer becomes more emminant

Seems like everything about it is bad news...What shame cause I do love prime rib big time!

Fresh veggies are looking better and better these days

Everyone should choose what they eat carefully Grant and not allow packaging to choose for them. I can't speak for El Paso but here in Cali there are a lot of small farms and ranches that specialize in beef and poultry that is raised without hormones or antibiotics and sold at local butcher shops. Trout from the Sierra's is extremely low in mercury as is most Alaskan halibut and salmon. Atlantic salmon is a different story. I eat a wide variety of whole foods including meat and so far my pulse, BP, cholesterol and BMI are normal. At age 56 I figure the whole food program seems to be working. No soft drinks or fries at all and rarely a burger from In & Out.

I do still appreciate a cold beer though.

Being vegetarian for 30 years I'm into the research of plant based diets, from the original diet in Genesis, to diets around the globe. Since the scandal in Chicago in 1905 the flesh food industry has not gotten much better, and in some cases worse so that irradiation practices are full bore across the nation.

I am no fan of pharmaceuticals for various reasons. Iatrogenic disease is no laughing matter across the nation. Superbugs requiring superdrugs is no answer. Longevity of life increase has far more to do with personal hygiene in the last 150 years, something the Bible also addressed 3500 years ago.

Diseases shall increase as man gets weaker, unable to fight them, and drugs just continue to weaken or reduce immune systems abilities.

Years ago I saw a scientist on NBC morning show. He said there is NO wonder drug. All drugs have side effects. When asked what the purpose of science is he flatly said, "To control our own destiny."

Dark times are coming.

edit - as drug companies gain more control in Congress the freedom and ability to use natural remedies will grow smaller and smaller, just like other freedoms Americans have lost.

Mark 16:18

(BBE) They will take up snakes, and if there is poison in their drink, it will do them no evil; they will put their hands on those who are ill, and they will get well.

So as the wise philosopher Alfred E Neuman once said : "What me worry?"
